To answer your question, a "hygienist" is sort of slang for a follower of natural hygiene, a way of eating and living which seeks to align us perfectly with our biological adaptations! Thanks for asking. :)

Not sure exactly what they are talking about but wanted to let you know! Hope to see you there.
hello there, always nice to see other raw foodists in a2 :) me and a friend are thinking of organizing a monthly potluck for vegans and raw foodists in may. ill let ya know if that idea becomes a reality.
Hey Matt, Nice to hear from you and thanks for the info. I actually allready have it on my calendar and I am planning to go :) It sounds like it is going to be a good class. Are you going?
Thanks! I just got a camera for Christmas, and I love taking pictures with it.
I haven't been doing raw too long, so I'm not a pro at this. I don't even have a blender (well, I did buy one but it doesn't work...), so I have yet to attend a raw meet-up group. (And you should put YOUR pictures up, by the way!)
Do you know go to any groups in AA?
Great!! Thats exactly what i am trying to find. I want to meet more people in the A2 area that have the same mindset when it comes to food :) I am going to Ellens lecture tonight. It should good!
Recently I have read the 80/10/10 by Dr. Graham, in the process of completing Avoiding Degenerative Disease by Don Bennett and I just got the China Study by T. Colin Campbell. I think I would definitely benefit from reading the Raw Food Detox Diet that you mentioned since I am in the whole process of trying to transition. So I will definitely have to get a hold of you when I complete the books I just mentioned to borrow that one. Hope your days going well.
the three week associate chef program at Living Light was great. A lot of it was watching demos as well as hands on. You learn how to develop your own recipes, work on culinary skills, and gain leadership and instructor skills. I loved it.

it is me in the photo. a friend of mine who is a very talented artist asked me to pose for her for a project she was working on. the box superimposed on my back represents an emotion - mine is surprise expressed by rock candy and some other items. she also photographed others and gave them different boxes representing different emotions. photographs representing positive emotions are against a white background, the negative emotions against a black background. check out her blog if you like, it has all of the photos: http://candiedoverwithart.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Hey Matt,
Nice to meet you. I haven’t done too much exploring of different places to eat raw here in A2 yet but I can tell you that there’s a great place that I go to in Northville. It’s a new restaurant called Red Pepper Deli on Main Street that is all organic and raw. Yum! I work in Northville so I wander over there once a while. If you are also looking to learn more about raw food in A2 I recently found out about this woman Ellen Livingston that has food demos/tasting/lectures at Arbor Farms. She has the classes every 3rd Thursday from 6:30-8:00. The last one I went to was awesome (and real eye opening). If you know about any other great resources/organizations/events that are about living raw in the A2 area definitely let me know :)
Oh here is her website incase you wanted to check out other resources she has to offer. http://livingyoganow.com/index.html
One last thing I just got done reading 2 awesome books related to raw foods let me know if you interested and I will send you the titles.
The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.
hi hitesh,
how are you
if yoga is practiced regularly then it's not difficult to achieve flexibility, yep i can share the knowledge with you that I got from the university, don't worry about it

i do yoga, but not regularly, and my flexibility isnt that great.
my breathing capacity is great, and thats the only thing good.
things that have actually worked for me:
Valerian root for tea - very calming...
Lemon juice, sliced lemon peel, lemon grass or lemon verbina, raw honey, star anise (optional), maybe some ginger, hot water (let it all infuse together for a while) ...
oh yeah there were like 3 judges who really eager to find mistakes in my asanas and other yoga practices that they asked me to perform :)
But i am lucky hahahaha
