heya Ro!
dude, kudos to you for all the awesomeness you have put into the world! love the website and can't wait to try all the indian dishes. india is pretty much my spiritual home. i have a suggestion if you want to volunteer there, but it is a pretty small outfit and i'm not sure exactly what you are looking for www.sayyesnow.org. it's a home for destitute kids and orphans that i volunteered at a few years ago and recently went back to visit- i love that place!! check it out :) rishikesh is amazing as i'm sure you know.
my boy and i are going to be in the states next year from april to mid june before we head off to central and south america for some travel/ volunteer work- would love to meet up with you in san fran (we are definitely going there!) if you're around.
peace!
hello Rohit!
Great to know you would be coming here. Which city are you going to stay in?
Okies, as for staying raw here..... Well i dont find it difficult at all. But then I havent been anywhere else outside my city or west bengal really since turning raw. I bet it would be difficult anywhere where there would not be abundant supply of fresh produce.
So far I have loved being raw and loved every bit of it. But of course there are no raw restaurants here. at least i dont know any! Mumbai might have a couple. And I havent found raw chocolate or cacao in ageees. I once used to find raw cacao nibs at a wholefood center. but that time i wasnt even raw and now that i am, they are nowhere to found!
Do let me know where and when you are coming!
Oh man, your gonna love it once you get a change to read it. I guarantee it!
It's about eating foods to which we are biologically designed to eat.
One concept in the book is the concept of whole foods. Whole foods are ALWAYS more nutritions than their refined counterparts.
-Oils are not whole foods
-Juices are not whole foods
-Dehydrated foods are not whole foods
-Whole food supplements are not whole foods (the name is kind of funny when you think about it LOL)
So, if a person is consuming any of the above products, then it is important for them to be aware that they are making a compromise and would be better off eating the whole foods that the refined food came from.

I would like to now list the benefits I have experienced since being on a low fat raw vegan lifestyle....

Your dog is sooo cute! I have a dog too and two cats, and I looove them! I feed them wheatgrass and they actually choose that before regular grass wich they normally chew on in the garden.
I decided to have a 50/50 raw/cooked meal at Vita last night, having had a desire for warm meals for last couple of weeks. They had a Vegan Paella, it was amazing but it's only the second time I have had grains for a year and I had headache soon a...
