Blessings, Chris! Your raw journey will change your life, so hang on and enjoy the ride. I lost 80 pounds and have almost completely cured myself of chronic asthma. What an empowering thing, to realize that we ARE actually responsible for our own health and healing.
I couldn't even tell you what my green drink consisted of. I throw tons of stuff in it, whatever I have in the house. There's almost always celery, kale, dandelions, and apples in there, but I think that particular juice had a lot more going on.
My juice today consisted of celery, broccoli sprouts, red chard, watercress, a lemon, and pomegranate.
Your story thus far is incredible...and your ambition is awesome. Please feel free to lean on me for support or shoot me any questions. I think we are all our OWN experts, but I'd be happy to share my own experiences!!!
so in my new years resolution "simplify your life", i think it will help with the transition so i wont feel so overwhelmed. have you made a resolution?
Nice to meet you, Chris. Thanks for the comment and inspiration. Your quote is awesome. I'm gonna say that next time I'm with my fam and they bug me about my dinner of a gigantic green salad. It's true... It's how we FEEL that's important.
Best Wishes on your journey!
thanks for the add. i here with you on this journey of being raw. i am over weight myself. i am ready for a change. all of us are here for each other. Phillip is actually the person who introduced me to this site....i am so grateful!
i wish great health for you in the new year and many to come. take care.
I started sometime around mid-August @ 323...I´m not full on raw so I wouldn´t fully attribute it to that. I experienced a series of unfortunate/fortunate events that forced me to reflect on a lot of things. The biggest change I made was getting more active. I hit the gym about 5/week and go out for walks at lunchtime. I also cut back on or stopped eating altogether a lot of things that I used to love like pasta, rice, and bread. Changing your eating habits is a big part of the journey but you also need to evaluate all the other contributing factors to how you got to your current weight and adjust accordingly. It can be a difficult process, but it´s definitely worth the effort.
Soaking might help, I really don't know for sure. My father eats soaked dried chestnuts. The dried ones are really hard and they get a little bit softer when soaking them, but they are'nt as sweet soaked.
recently i have come to believe i may (not fully sure) have candida. mainly for the following reasons: after any cooked meal that is high in startches like say risotto the next day my head is so fuzzy and i think it may be even hungover or drunk. ...
This is what my mom recommends too. The thing is I live in a high-rise building in NYC, so I'm definetely not "grounded".
The grounding bed technology makes sense, but it doesn't feel natural to me. Has anyone tried it? Did you notice any changes...
So here is the deal... I have been running since Jan 2009 and doing this 8/1/1 thing (trying to be 100% but not yet) I am running in the California International Marathon Dec 6th and training is going fine running 2 to 4 times off and on a week fo...

I LOVE this post. you have nailed on the head so many things that I think, about religion, food, dogma, etc.
It's true that so many legalistic people do not realize that what they're doing may come off badly to others; just trying to find what is...
