ok...u have some really cool underwater photos. I visited the US Virgin Islands a couple of times by the way...they are very beautiful islands...St. John is my favorite.
That's fascinating, Alliy! My work concentrates primarily on post-colonial/colonial studies and the ships must be an amazing glimpse into such chaotic times. As for Mt. Washington, I never had the opportunity to bike it. I went to a college in Maine called Bates that wasn't too far from Mt. Washington, but I just didn't make the trip. I also went to school at place called Middlebury in Vermont. Where were you based in VT as a guide? Sounds like a fun job. I lead trips during the summer all over France with some biking, but it isn't very intense. Hope all is well.
unfortunately madrid is lacking in the produce department! barcelona or valencia would be great with fresh fruit, but it's not as varied here in madrid--and it's overpriced! but i do what i can. i actually just found a latin american fruit stand and tried my first passion fruit yesterday :)
love your pics! thanks for adding me as a friend...i'm actually in madrid right now (have been for the past year and a half), but i grew up in rutland. i've been raw since august of '08 and love, love, love it!!! i can't believe how good i feel eating this way :) you must have access to some great tropical fruit where you are.
You gave me quite the laugh when you mentioned the "high-culture" of Europe. I prefer to call it an "ethnocentric" culture that designated itself as "high-culture." The isles and their authors have just as much to teach as any philosopher coming from some smoky Parisian bistro and having a penchant for depression. ha I have lived in France off and on for several years because I specialize in Francophone literature and lead biking, canyoning, French, and cuisine trips throughout the summer. I'll be back in the U.S. as of August. What are you doing in the V.I. besides doing awesome snorkeling??!!
Well, I actually had a hard time finding an architecture job. So architecture is now kind of on the shelf. It is hard trying to put my two opposite interests together, as I find myself drawn to raw food classes. I am not sure the plans for the future, so we shall see how it all pans out! Good luck with your thesis!

I watch a lot of TV. For a normal person, it's probably too much, but for an aspiring TV writer, it's probably not enough. I watch Top Chef, Project Runway, Heroes, Gossip Girl, Greek, Biggest Loser, Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and Bon...
I want to raise my vibration at every level, for many reasons. Earthly illusions such as poverty, jealousy, anger, hate, greed, abuse, weigh me down like heavy luggage. It is these very illusions that keep me separate from others and from God. Get...
Thank you guys! For the sauce, I used tomatoes, a spoon of olive oil and a pinch of any yellow spice I could find in my cupboard and some cilantro. I prepare almond milk so I used the leftovers nuts and mixed them with previous ingredients and the...
