I just saw to the post your replied about things you wish you knew when you started on the raw food transformation and I can really related to you. I used to binge eat in college and have spent many hours reflecting, introspecting, reading books, praying, etc. to heal and find self-acceptance. I now know that the desire to overeat is like an alarm going off in my head when I feel uncomfortable, insecure, scared, etc. I have learned to appreciate that signal and examine more closely what is going on.
Raw food appeals to me in such a commonsensical way and when I've been on retreats, I love eating all raw all the time and feel AMAZING. It's coming back to "real" life and continuing to use food for nutrition and enjoyment instead of a support/hiding blanket that it difficult. I've just recommitted myself to doing a 30-day raw trial where I still include sprouted grain products and tea. Even though a part of my mind is reminding me that I've tried to go raw many times and "failed", I respond to it that this is not a diet and I it is a trial/experiment so I cannot fail. I just do my best and see where it leads. Eventually I know I will transition to a mostly raw lifestyle, but I want to enjoy the ride there.
If you have any advice/comments, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks.
Lana
Thank you for the heads-up, Astro Girl. ;)
Hmm, I will be more aware. My main transportation these days is walking. Lots of cars, crazy traffic and snow around. I will be careful. I will pay closer attention to communicating with purpose and awareness too. -Thanks. Xo!

Hey Shayla Behna, how are you today? Are you feeling better? Your energy is fabulous and that keeps you motivated; and the chain reaction of that energy inspires everybody around you. Are you worshipping or praying daily? Which gods and goddesses do you pray? Please let me know when you update your blog, so I can read it. Thank you very much again for your heartfelt love for my parents.
Wow you have a very inspiring attitude Shayla, I admire your strength and determination and look forward to hearing your progress. I think eating a lowfat raw vegan diet is the closest to a miracle ive experienced for a long time!

Cool! Yeah ive got an eye for it too :-) You should check out Artist Alice's page and paintings they are sooo amazing! She's on my friend list. I love your colourful vibrant salad photos xx
I have also tried Nvey Eco's eyeliner in black! I love it! I got it off Macys.com it's very hard to find it in stores a lot of Macy's stores don't sell it.
I see him stuck, and not doing anything about it he hasn't tried. In that I mean dropping the processed crap, being positive, and trying some fruit and exercise instead of binge drinking on the weekend or sleeping when hes not working. He has VITI...
I made this back in February and yes it's all raw. It's dehydrated sprouted crackers from Rainbow, with cashew cheese, tomatoes, pesto, avocado and arugula.
I would ask him if he is interested in making a dietary change and if he shows interest then that's great! If not, be a shining example of health and hopefully one day he will come around. He has to do it when he is ready otherwise he will feel it...
