Another thought I just had...does your school offer any graduate programs or local internships that you know of? If so, any info you have I would greatly appreciate! I do know I would like to relocate (out of New York) no matter what I decide to do, and if I could find somewhere to study more geared toward natural health that would be a dream! Thanks krose!!

Yes it does aggrevate me at times, but I know it's what I have to endure to get where I want to be! And I do absolutely love Natalia Rose also! I too would like to be a personal consultant like her after I get my degree. Are you going for the RD (registered dietitian) title? That is kind of what my program is geared towards but it involves a 1200 hour post bachelors internship which you have to pay for (and get accaepted to), then pass a national exam afterward. I would like to do some graduate work anyway and I've heard of some combined masters/internship programs, but we'll see. I just want to get out there and start working and helping people sooo badly and all of this grad school, internship buisness makes that seem soo far away!

Oh yes, having connections and working for particular companies are HIGHLY beneficial. I miss those days! I got the free sample kit online which comprised of 3 different foundations, 1 bronzer/blush, and one concealer. I actually liked the everyday minerals multitasking concealer better than bare minerals bisque. The regular bisque looks weird on me unless if i put summer bisque or bare minerals foundation under it. The multitasking concealer is very light and totally brightened my eyes up! BareMinerals is definitely my HG!! I'm checking those Soliv products out now!
About the everyday minerals foundation- Okay, at first my skin looked like porcelain(Night time) and I actually used two different foundations on my face (different sides) to see the difference lol. Then I wore it again during the day time (one of the foundations LOL! Imagine going out, ESPECIALLY DURING THE DAY, with one half of your face with one foundation and the other half with another color, hahaha). Again, my skin looked like porcelain. Then the next time I wore it, it just looked really incompatible with my face. It didn't have that beautiful dewy look, it was like....I don't know how to explain it, just WEIRD. Maybe i'm just weird lol. The first 2 times I tried it, it blended into my skin perfectly, and you couldn't even tell I had makeup on (apparently bare minerals does that for me as well), then it suddenly looked weird on my skin? I don't get it. You should check out makeupalley.com if you haven't already. We'd be like outcasts there though on the fitness and nutrition board lol :x
Just looking at the diet recs and discussions of "healthy diets" on there make me shudder. Other than that I think it's a great site lol!

I use bare minerals too! LOVE IT =) I've been an avid user of that stuff for many years. I'm just not crazy about some of their kabuki brushes and their eyeshadows.
I've been testing out my everyday minerals sample kit for about a week now and I really don't know what to think. Initially I was thrilled with the results, but then the next few times I tried it out I had different (visual) reactions. The "multitasking" concealer is definitely a keeper IMO.
What else do you use on your skin (ie cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize)?

Hey there! I saw that you are a nutrition student at Bastyr and was wondering if you could tell me a bit about your experience?? I actually lived in Seattle for five years and recently moved back to Denver but while in Seattle I visited Bastyr Center for Natural Health multiple times for homeopathy treatments and acupuncture. I'm really interested in becoming a nutritionist myself and am contemplating moving back to Seattle and attending Bastyr to get my degree. Anything you could tell me about the school from your personal experience would be so much appreciated!!! Thank you :)

Okay My Divine & Gracious Gods & Goddess,

Here it is ... as I promised.

I am sending it to you ... and a few others that co created this commitment - which I deeply appreciate and honor you for making. Thank you. I will make the HOW TO VIDEO - which will be a BLAST. YES indeed. Will be so much fun ... and I will let you know when it is posted as well. See .. this is such a great drink and would love to share it live .. so doing the video would make that happen. AND ... there is some little touches in making this drink that the video would capture .. so .. that is my next phase.

Okay .. on to the drink.

I call this

Strawberry Sublime with Passionate Bliss

1 organic lemon, remove skin, cut and quartered - (remove seeds if you like it less bitter)
The Juice of one large / juicy Organic Orange.
1 organic lime - remove skin cut and quartered.
6 oz of either fresh clean filtered water or coconut water, depends on how sweet you like it.
1/4 teaspoon salt - come on the good stuff you know - Celtic or Himalayan or some other high quality salt.
2 big scoops of Powdered Coconut
2 Tablespoons of Coconut oil
Now make it SWEET. Some kind of Sweetener ... this is a personal call ... and depends on what you are using ... I use .... Agave - about 4 oz. and a little bit of stevia - sure you can use some of Birch sugar, or Honey or .... etc, even dates if you want .... . I am non dogmatic and want you to be happy. So ... keep it real and living ... after that it is up to you. Only please ... one thing that would be hurtful ........ “ C&H Pure Cane Sugar” yeah.

8 squirts of some kind of liquid ionic minerals. This is key. All of this list is key .. just do not skip any part of this list .... this is part of the Alchemy ....

BLEND all of the above well -
Really well .... adding in the Coconut Powder & Coconut oil at the VERY END while the blender is blending , will help with the frothy thing.

Stop your Vita Mix .....

THEN ... add in

4 oz of ice - crushed - that would be physical - not emotionally

8 oz of Frozen ORGANIC strawberries. Did I say ORGANIC ... yes I did .. didn’t I !!! ... Please do this part .. .. strawberries are one of the most heavily sprayed crops. ONLY ORGANIC. Also .... you can kick it up later and give this a go with Frozen ORGANIC blueberries or or or or , later when you want something different ... .... you get the idea... this is where YOU play and make it fun for you .. depending on the season and all.

Now so far you are thinking .. okay ... some nice stuff in there like minerals or oil or lots of citrus .... BUT - Big Deal - Mr. Karma Free.... where is the BIG DEAL part ??!! ... The most amazing drink on the planet that will heal the world .. Mr. Karma Free .... Come on ...Pony Up !!

Okay ....

HERE IT IS.

AFTER you have blended in the the Organic Frozen berries and crushed ice ... you add in ....

ONE WHOLE ALOE VERA PLANT LEAF -

YES .... the whole thing
of course filet the meat out .. no skin please ...

Cube the filet and add in ALOE Vera at the end.
and blend as little as possible so as it keep the healing properties in tack.

A-LO(V)E Vera plant is one of THE MOST healing plants on earth ! The
hard part is finding a way to make it taste good and get a whole leaf inside me
every day. WELL .. here it is ... the A-Lo(v)e Vera plant and the ionic minerals
together is nothing short of true ALCHEMY. This is the real deal. And now is the time!
Enjoy it every day and see what happens .... feel your energy grow
feel yourself getting blissed out and .. see how you flow and glow
like never before!!

I cannot tell you how eXXXcited I am to share this special healing plant with you
AND in a way that will make it a treat to have it EVERY DAY. This drink ROCKS ! The healing properties of the ancient healing plant are so rich, thick and they go on and on. Cannot even tell you - so much .. anti fungal, anti bacterial, great for elimination, skin tone will get stronger, luster to the skin and hair and all this from drinking .. and ENJOYING this Blissed Out Drink that makes everyone happy to see it and even MORE happy to drink it!! Search it on the web and see for yourself how much info is out there on this one plant .. and how we as a culture avoid eating .. only everyday ! This is it. Now is the time to enjoy A-Lo(v)e Vera EVERYDAY and allow it to heal you ....

Please go on line and do a search on this magic planet so you can see for yourself the list of amazing healing properties for yourself!! You will not be able to stop drinking this or sharing with your family and friends !!

IF you are sensitive .. and you know who you are,
you can start with HALF of one Aloe Vera Leaf ... and work your way to a whole leaf
in a week or two. This stuff is amazing and you will SEE and FEEL a difference in your LIFE very very quickly. I HAVE.

Now, if you are having a problem finding Fresh Whole Leaf Aloe Vera in your market ... then contact me .. as I am working on getting it big time ... AND it would be better for you to find it in a local market. Sometimes Asian or Latin markets carry it or will carry it if you ask for it. You will be eating one leaf a day .. so .. get it lined up. I LOVE IT SO!!!
Also = please use a GREAT blender .. Vita Mix or something of that nature - this drink deserves the VERY BEST!

The minerals are also key as they help the skin and also with flavor. RE - mineralizing is key too you know. Also using low glycemic sugars is also key - AND play with it .. have fun with it .. make it your own! I would not share this with you if I did not love you so much.

AND please do not think about it .. .just go out and get all the stuff you need and HAVE AN EXPERIENCE ... feel it for yourself before you say anything to anyone. I can only wish to be with you in the room when you have your first sip. The pleasure sounds, the good feelings and vibes ... all I can say is . wish I could be there next to you as you have your first experience. Do it for several days .. do not allow the rational mind to enter and spoil the fun. Just do it and see for yourself. YEAH BABY !!!

That is it

Love to hear how it all goes.

kindness
love
grace
and deep deep respect,

your true pal,
Karma Free !

howdy, the eggplant pizzas were ok. i don't think i like the eggplant part, when they were still pretty moist it gave it a little bitterness, and also i think it put some bubbles in my tummy. so i am trying to think about a new base for the pizza. course i have yet to try any of the actual pizza crust recipes--->project this weekend maybe! i work in a vet hospital so i have had puppy fever for years! but i can't have one cause i am too busy to really give it all the attention, that is one good thing about kitties, they sleep a lot and don't miss you too much. haha.

That's great how your school is so supportive....and I'm super envious that Angela Stokes is coming to speak there!! That's so exciting. My school however is a little more... shall we say "FDA approved" in a lot of ways. My favorite professor, who happens to be head of the department, spent many years as a vegan (non raw) but he still seems very skeptical of the raw philosphy, thinks there isn't enough research to back it. He goes into very in depth scientific explanations of digestion and absorption and how we burn ATP for energy so raw shouldn't be any different from cooked...etc. etc. But oddly enough it hasn't really discouraged me any, it's actually given me more momentum to get my degree and get my foot in the door of the mainstream health community and spread the word about raw, maybe even try and get some research going for all of those people who need hard evidence. For me, my own experience is more than enough evidence and hearing from everyone on here is about a million times better!!

That's funny about not naming your cat Atticus.
And it's kind of even funnier - one of my good friends named her son Simon Atticus. Her husband calls him Simon - She calls him Atticus.
