I am, fine. And my partner Nige is away in France photographing for a week. I have been away in France too, with my mother and staying in a beautiful chateau near the Loire valley where my Mum was housesitting. I speak French and it's a country I really love. I'd love us to move there one day, to the south of France, but that will not be for a few years.
Our veggies are growing in the garden. I pick my perpetual spinach every day for my smoothies. And yesterday we went to the local farm and picked a ton of strawberries. They were so delicious!
Funny you ask about NYC because unfortunately I just got scheduled for a Japan trip the day I get back from Alaska. How's that for short term planning by the company? I would love to come to NYC but there is just no one for me to audit there. Boo! I will just have to find a reason to come.
Esther is too funny. I'm so excited for her and you. To be able to go with her and experience it in her way is just too precious. I know you will enjoy it.
I wonder what Jose will eventually decide. If he does decide to be adopted permenantly and his father gives up rights, that doesn't mean Jose can't contact him ever right? I wonder if that is the only thing stopping Jose. It's not like he didn't have a wonderful time with you guys last summer. Maybe it's a tough choice for him because he probably feels guilty like he's abandoning his parents. I don't know. It always amazes me how kids sometimes feel more loyal and more willing to sacrifice things than their parents do.
Speaking of oregano, we have fields and fields of the stankiest oregano here in Hawaii. Very tasty. Don't hold back with the juice, son. I hear talk of juice, and it seems like a good idea to do some more. It's niiiice here.

Just so you know, they don't have full hours yet as they're still new. They don't open til 3 in the afternoon. I was back there again tonight. So good.
I dropped the duplex and bought a house instead. What's so cool about it is that the previous owners did so much work and landscaping on the house it's officially designated as a wildlife habitat. Not only that, they planted at least 10 different types of fruit trees. I have lost count on what's in my front and back yard. Hopefully you guys can come out for a real visit here.

Randomly, I found myself watching Twilight on a plane ride home a few weeks ago. I have officially reverted back to a 12 year old girl. It's my new guilty secret. I even went and bought the DVD!
I heart my Angel. Cleanup is much easier than on other juicers. You don't have to worry about cleaning screens or anything like that. It's the two gears, the housing over the gears, wiping down the slot where gears fit into, and then cleaning out your pulp and juice bins. And the parts are all stainless steels so they wipe clean a lot quicker.
I don't have a favorite juice combo because I never make the same thing twice. Every juice I make is different. My juices of late have contained lots of broccoli, parsley, and watercress. Also, I love adding Meyer lemons to them. My idea of paradise would be having my own Meyer lemon tree in the backyard, because I go through so many of them.
Basic? Celery, fennel, carrot tops, dill, lemon/lime. Apple is good for sweet. Good cilantro and parsley. Dinosaur kale good for deeper green. And other greens good for bitter. Best on that, I've been juicing lately too. Look for whole celery if you can get it!
Uh, yeah, it would be a fantastic idea, yo. You should see some of the tiny apartments we cram into. I will put the word out: party at your place tomorrow.
