My green smoothie today has dandelion greens, ginger, a pear, one scoop of green Superfood, cilantro, some water to thin it up a bit, and celery.
Speaking of dandelions. When I was a kid, I used to take the seeded buds, make a wish then blow the white, wispy seeds all over the yard - or where ever I was. I'm sure all the weeders of the world were thrilled by that. However, I know all those wishes came true and I played an important role in the pollinization of dandelions. As the song on the soundtrack for
You've Got Mail says, "A dream is nothing more than wishes and a wish is just a dream wished to come true," or something like that.

This friendly dandelion sits in the garden bed outside the doors where I work. Maybe on my morning break I can go out, make a wish and blow my dreams to the universe.
I'm about to be one step closer in my refinance process. Yes, this has been in the works since early February. Don't you just love paperwork, red-tape and bureaucracy? I don't know if bureaucracy really applies here but I felt like saying it. In one of my favorite-to-watch-funny movies -
Undercover Blues - the main character, Jeff Blue (he's played by Dennis Quaid and the co-star is Kathleen Turner) is an ex-spy, ex-FBI, ex-CIA agent. Here's the segment of the show that I'm building up to:
--
Lt. Theodore 'Ted' Sawyer: My source at the FBI said they didn't think you were, and I quote, "Bureau material."
--
Jeff Blue: That's true. I'm more of an end table.
--
Jane Blue: I always thought of you as a dining room chair.
I wonder what piece of furniture I think of myself as? A bookshelf perhaps?
Back to my original thought - the appraiser is coming this afternoon. I'm interested to see how much more the house is worth now with my Brand New Floors in! The lady I'm working with at the bank says that she hopes to have everything finished and the refinance closed by the middle of June. Woot, woot.
This was in the comics yesterday. I'm sure someone Eckhart Tolleians might get a kick out of it (or not, you never know). I got a kick out of it.

I only read four of the comics: Mutts, Zits, LUANN (somehow I suckered myself into reading this one - it intrigues me that I do) and Frazz. That's the Random Fact about Me for today.
Over the weekend I made this porridge from my Cafe Gratitude recipe book.

Oh. My. God. was it decadent.
It called for 2 1/2 cups of coconut milk. Next time I treat myself to this treat I think I will try less coconut milk and more apple. It was almost too rich. Almost. Maybe that was inadvertantly my One Year Raw Anniversary Treat.
Today I feel amazing.
Imagine waking up and being only somewhat stiff. No pain. That's me now! I do my Superbrain Yoga and the Five Tibetan Rites first thing after I roll out of bed so that gets me all stretched out.
Even my wrists feel better. All my flexibility is not back yet, but it's close.
When I was logging my body stats (I keep track of what I eat everyday and how I feel first thing in the morning. That's usually when arthritis symptoms are worse so that's what I record) this morning I took a moment to rejoice in how I felt.
And I said Thank You!
