Let's see...yes, day 10. Things are going really well! I feel great, all considered. I was also out of town for four days for Qi Revolution in Tampa, and was able to manage with a few trips to the grocery/health food store while I was there, some sashimi (yup, sashimi) and such. And this, with fresh Indian food served on site (we were at the Indian Cultural Center, same grounds as a beautiful Hindu temple)! If you knew me, you would know that is significant. I got through with only a couple of peices of cheese out of sheer necessity on my last night as I was driving home, so I am pleased that I maintained a 95% or higher raw diet. It is important to me that I realize this is a choice every step of the way, and I do not feel deprived at all.
I took an Ashtanga yoga class this morning, and my instructor is also a gourmet raw food chef, so I she loaned me an awesome raw food recipe book, and gave me some great pointers that will come in handy as I transition from my 30 day plan into "real life". So what will that look like for me? Well, I am looking for health, not dogma, so I may not be a purist, but my diet for sure will be mainly raw. This will be an interesting journey, for sure, especially considering historically I have been an all or nothing type of person. I do very well with strict rules, but not so good if I have a lot of gray area. Every day is a chance to create our life, though! :-)
I really look forward to learning more raw food recipes, as I see raw food recipes being a peice of my future practice.
Still hanging in there, strong and happy! Teaching a Qigong class in the morning, exciting!
Namaste.
