Im just beginning to explore ways to get around Ecuador enough to know what part of it would feel good to live in. (Ecuador is a starting fantasy, it may be another country, Id like to buy or build a farm/house or jungle beach house in S. America, someday. )
I need to learn Spanish and the intricacies of the culture; how not to get in trouble.
My BF and I would love to buy a motorhome and drive the PanAmerican Hgy, needing to ship around the Darien Gap.
HAS ANYONE EVER DONE THIS?
Maybe Id go on a short excursion first, learn some language:
Has anyone here tried a language immersion / host family / eco adventure like this?:

Or an Amazonian or Galopagos volunteer program like these?

Or stayed at any of eco-lodges?
