Give it to me Raw

Rawbin

Still cold out but I'm no longer craving S.A.D. comfort food.

My tricks:
-Hot tea with ginger warms me up.
-Warm chocolate drink with chipotle.
-Skin brushing is a very quick warmer.
-I began making extra foods ahead of time that contain fats and taste rich.
-I avoid television because of it's advertising.
-I'm experimenting with soups. My favorite right now is a spoonful of white miso in a bowl of warm water, zucchini noodles, chunks of avocado and sliced cherry tomatoes.

Mmm... well, I make it differently each time
*runs off to the kitchen to make a batch*
Usually it's a nut-free combination of cacao or carob, maca, salt, oil(coconut or hemp seed oil are my faves), vanilla extract, agave, chipotle
Here's todays:
Nut Free Chocolate Warmer
Blend (vitamix is not needed for this, any blender or shaker cup will work)
-2 cups of warm water
-1 Tb raw cacao powder
-1 Tb raw carob powder
-1 Tb raw agave nectar
-1 Tb NOT raw locally harvested maple syrup
-1 tsp maca root powder (gives it a malted milk flavor)
-1 tsp vanilla
-1 tsp coconut oil (it will melt in the warm water and make it taste creamy)
-1/4 tsp celtic sea salt
-a dash, smidgen, sprinkle, or pinch(to taste) of chipotle powder

Pour into pre-heated cup to keep it warm longer.
Enjoy,
-Rawbin

P.S. I have a hard time sleeping without some nightcap food too. I was addicted to bananas and almond butter before bed, but I'm trying to phase it out by freezing bananas in the morning and then making raw ice cream at night.
