People stop eating meat for all kinds of reasons. I stopped when I was a teenager coz the school dinners were so disgusting that me and the whole of my class all went veggie because the veggie option was at least edible. Then I learned about the spiritual, socio/economic, animal cruelty, environmental sides of it and then when I made friends with a vegan chef who made me the best food I ever tasted I went vegan. And then when I had my first raw meal I went raw, it just tasted so amazing! My way to push it on to people, if that is the right word?! is through taste, making amazing food and feeding it to them. Getting to the heart thru the stomach!

The T-Rex thing is actually funny. I have to agree with Scorpion, and I laughed out loud!

I like most of your facts... but it's important to realize that the problem of starvation in the world today is not one of food shortage... it's almost entirely one of politics. Most people who starved to death last year starved to death as a result of their own governments attempts to keep food from them. It's been quite some time since there has been either a shortage of food or an unwillingness globally to provide basic sustenance to all. The only thing standing between the world and no more starvation are tin-pot dictators.

I went vegan the very night I went to a lecture by Dr. Will Tuttle (The World Peace Diet), that was two years ago.

Good information, LoveFreelyX (Miss Smarty!!).

The negative global impact of the meat industries seems to be undeniable. I think one of the best ways to educate people are through facts like these... you can't argue with facts...

I've read the first half of John Robbins book the Food revolution ~ http://www.foodrevolution.org/

The Food Revolution reveals the truth about popular diets, genetically modified foods, mad cow disease, and the health effects of what you eat.

Read it if you are interested in vegetarianism/veganism.

When you eat factory farmed meat just know what you are supporting.

And the HEALTH aspects...

Are you serious when you blame T-Rex's extinction because of meat eating? HAHAHAHAHA! People are always gonna eat meat. There is absolutely no reason to be a preachy vegan... it's a waste of your time. It is obvious that we get more nutrition from plants then from animals but that's not gonna stop humans from being humans.
