So what you are saying is, "you don't want to sleep with me"
The other day I'm waiting in line at a book store behind this very attractive women, buying yet one more book to add to my many zillions that I already have. Gotta say, I love to read. So this girl, she sneezes and I naturally say God Bless you. She turns her head slightly around and gives me a look and turns back. Doesn't say a word. It got me thinking for a second... And yes, I understand thought is in contrary to belief a break down of our ever powerful ego. And we must let go of thought and just be. Well, that's another subject to discuss and second this has notha to do with ego.
From a general perspective I will say this, ego aside, I felt no different at that moment then 10 minutes prior and 10 minutes later. Now, regardless of whatever she was thinking, she could have sneezed again and I would have said the same thing. She could have sneezed a million times and I would have said a million times, God-Bless your soul. I am very sure that her thinking toward my response to her sneezing was, based on the slight head turn, is "God-Bless you, I would like to sleep with you". You have to see how unfortunate it is that today so many people seem so closed and unresponsive. I didn't think much about her until I heard her sneeze. My focus was directed on the book I was buying but my very instinct was that of someone who is open and inviting, and not into my bedroom, but as life and the universe will allow it to be.
My point is this, you meet a million people in your life. And everyone sneezes (and I am using sneezing as an example which is universally parallel to many other similar situations). Why is it so many people have negative response towards people with positive gestures. But wait, you meet a Raw-Foodist, and we are naturally, energetically and instinctively drawn to each other. It is to where we don't have to explain ourselves. We are open because there's love in our hearts, our souls and minds. I see a negative thing not as the opposite but as a means to an end in which there is a learning curve to make it into a positive. Which is the reason I will say God-Bless you again, because it is who I am. Say "God-Bless you" to a Raw Foodist and you get back a beautiful smile that streams constant and forever. And more then likely you make a new friend.
This isn't an argument against anyone. It's not even an argument. This is true, you will have many people say God-Bless you for the wrong reasons, the world as beautiful as it is, isn't perfect. But don't change who you are because of that. Be an example and keep spreading your love through the millions of gestures and kindness. Kill them with kindness and forever your soul will be blessed. Amen. (

well. i'll be honest. i do have a great interest in having sex with every attractive woman i see or meet between the ages of say 18-55. that's just honest. i love women. i love sex. i love sex with women. so from that standpoint i'd imagine I'd be more interested in doing a good deed for a woman - especially a hot one.
that said, living in new york - women are BOMBARDED with sexual and romantic advances from men. It's like carpet bombing - so i can understand a woman being resistant to an initial encounter because she's so conditioned for the brushoff.
so like someone else said, it wasn't personal most likely.
the other thing is - "God bless you" is a religious phrase - and some might feel you're imposing your beliefs upon them.
I still try to hold doors open for people, male or female, and give up my seat on the subway. But then my mom would smack me upside the head if i did otherwise. as far as carrying myself in public i try to imagine my mom is watching everything I do so I stay "polite". Except when I'm wasted - then I'm a complete and utter a-hole.
the final word is that good deeds are their own reward. I used to volunteer @ a soup kitchen and one time this guy would see me, get mad, and then get off the line, refusing to take food from me. One of my co-volunteers later told me that he was racist and never actually took food handed to him by a black person. I didn't feel any way about it because i still went into it with good intentions and that's how I left.

also, a dr. friend told me that some of the waxy stuff can drip into your ear and do permanent damage. it does feel great, but i don't do it any longer. i've actually fallen asleep while having it done. =/
