Bliss Café in Dallas.

My first Raw Restaurant Experience was stellar. Here's my mom and me showing off the Bliss sign while my dad acts as the photographer.
If you’re ever in the Dallas metroplex – hitting up Bliss Café is a definite raw foodist must. Non-raw foodists are welcome too. At least I didn't see any signs to the contrary. Bliss has a long list of refreshing elixirs that help stave off the heat of the south if you don’t have the time or desire for something more weighty (such as lunch or dinner or dessert).

Outdoor seating worked great today with a slightly cool breeze blowing through. When summer really hits Bliss might need to invest in some misters or fans. Small indoor bar seating – enough room for eight people. Next visit I’ll check that area out.
Started off with a nice conversation with Miranda- wait staff and chef. Miranda said Dhrumil already mentioned Bliss on We Like it Raw.
To begin our restaurant fun - I had Noni fire shots with my dad!
Then I ordered a Hemp Horchata. Dashed with cinnamon, oh, how I love cinnamon! Really cooling. Refreshing. The perfect drink for a warm day.

My mom got the Hemp Mint Drink. This drink is infused with essential oil mints and is even more refreshing on a hot Texas day than my horchata was.
The menu provided a good variety of foods. They were out of Raw burger buns so I’ll have to go back to Bliss (I bet I'll hate that task) to get a burger next time.
My dad got a Rooibus Tea with goji berries. It was a cool refreshing tea/water with just a hint of flavor and some goji berries to munch on.

For lunch, I ordered the Thai Noodle Bowl. Kelp, broccoli, cauliflower, etc… with just the right touch of spices to enhance the flavor. This meal was filling without being too heavy. And it felt light enough for a humid/hot day. I wasn’t in the mood for anything too nutty or oily. The noodle bowl was just the ticket.

Mom ordered the Raw Tacos. These were so tasty, probably a good fare for a non-raw friend because they tasted similar to a cooked mexican dish. Miranda brought out her own “cheese” sauce to top it off. Excellent.

Dad ordered the Rawzagna. This raw lasagna was a great portion size, enough to be filling without leaving you with that “ugghhhh, I ate too much,” feeling.

We all shared bites and mom wasn’t even able to finish both tacos – she was filled up!
Then we flirted with gluttony by ordering dessert.
Dad got the Blueberry Sheezcake. Made by Miranda herself -OMG - it was good.
Mom got the chocolate brownies.
And I order the Strawberry Sheezcake.

By itself the blueberry sheezcake got the cake! OMG. This was spectacular. It was chilled and seemed to have an icecream like filling that was so close to a non-raw cheesecake taste I almost didn’t believe it was raw.
The other desserts were also incredibly sweet (in both the glucose and street talk terms) – but my mom, genius she is, said, “Here, take a bite of the brownie and then eat a bit of the strawberry sheezcake…” and presto! That was bomb.
I was pleased to see a steady stream of customers coming in for lunch, some just for desserts and others for a superfood-powered smoothie.
Next time I go back maybe I’ll get a chance to get a picture of the other Bliss people.
So I say: Go Bliss!
