My daughter was the only one in her class that didnt get the flu vaccine
So I pick Kyra up from school today and she has this distressed look on her face. "Mommy everyone got their flu shot today except me, I was the only one that didnt!" I look around to see all the kids with their "Stop the flu in school" stickers on their shirts. Im sure she was disappointed that she didnt get a sticker either. Ive tried to explain to her that she doesnt need it. I give her elderberry, vitamin d, and a healthy diet and try to explain that she doesnt need to be frightened..sheesh. Oh well, I cant wait for this whole flu season to be over. I am so sick and tired of all this swine flu frenzy. Im sure Im going to be seen as the neglectful parent by her teachers.. how dare I endanger my child by not having her injected with toxic garbage. Oh well, what do ya do right?

Yes, even though Hawaii is a paradise the flu vaccine is pushed just as much..still a state in the good ole USof A, so therefore the same protocol applies here as in any other state.
Everyone else in my house is vaccinated, so hopefully we wont get sick from them!

The only one time I've taken the flu shot in my adult life was the last time I'll ever take it. I had some horrible side effects.
I've had the flu twice already and both times required a day in bed and I was good to go. No need for poisons in my blood when the body can take care of itself.
People who get really sick from the flu or die almost always have other health problems. In other words, healthy people don't die from the flu.

My Mom gets the flu shot every year, and every year, she catches the flu.
I've never gotten the flu shot, and had the flu once in my life!

I don't care if the chances of this happening was .01 in a gazillion, I would never set my child up for this (if I had one). I think I would rather s/he take his/her chances with catching the flu, to be honest.

Oh my god, I just checked where you live. Are you actually living in Hawaii???? They give FLU vaccines in a tropical paradise?
I live in the Uk where it is cold and wet a lot of the time of year and NOT that much sunshine or tree ripened fruit all year round. I don't know anyone personally in my daughters school who got vaccinated for flu. That's so ironic! I feel lucky now for not being preassured as a lot of other parents must get in other parts of the world.

Once you already have a cold, the best way to deal with it is to eat as little as possible and get as much rest and sleep as you can.
The best way to prevent a cold are to eat foods that are minimally toxic. That means eating mostly fruits and vegetables. Organic if possible. Raw. Fresh.
What also helps is getting plenty of rest and sleep. As much as you need.
