I am already low in sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium. I think it's related to the mercury in my body so I hope it will get in balance when I am detoxed (someday...*sigh*). What I experience though is a greater lack of sodium since I am eating so much fruit (because of the potassium). I get mild headaches and cramps, and so dry skin and a great thirst, I could drink all day. Now I am starting to put salt to my water and my salads and I think it's getting slightly better.
Many say that those symptoms are signs of detox. But is a lack of sodium really detox? I don't know if raw food is really able to put out all the heavy metals from my body and to cure my kidneys. I know a lot of people are eating high fruit wothour any salt and doing fine...but maybe they don't have those mercury and kidney problems so the body is able to regulate it. But anyway, sodium is an important stuff in our body...maybe that is the point why many fruitarians get problems after some time? Since the body is able to regulate this for a long period.
But a lack of sodium is a serious thing since it is used in large quantities in our bodies.
So...how long should a sky drin-detox symptom last? If it lasts for months maybe it's a not a detox symptom but lack of sodium?
