Give it to me Raw

I tried my first kombucha tea last October and found it quite amazing, but lately I've been having REAL synergy with it. like wow. My whole body tingles and I'm in a state of pure elation and clear mindedness. I was contemplating drinking some every day and seeing if my body picks up on its healing effects. Does anyone have experience with this and can attest to its healing powers? I do believe its really powerful stuff just in the effects I've been feeling ..

Oddly enough... I discovered just this weekend that kombucha tea seems to be an amazing decongestant. I took some to a friend of mine who was so congested she couldn't breath through her nose, her ears ached, etc. Within 10 minutes of starting to drink it she could breath through both nostrils, her ears had popped, etc.

My mom made her own kombucha for years and added small amounts to our beloved doggy's water, when the dog had tumors, and the tumors fell off! So I believe if you are healing something, it can be helpful and medicinal.

I got some at the Co-op just to see if i like the taste before I try to make it. I loved it, but just a bit (6 ounces) gave me a woozy drunkish feeling for a few minutes, similar to how I used to feel if I drank a bit of alcohol (which was never often, and small amounts) Is there enough alcohol in it to do that? ! Or is that the "healing" feeling? LOL I don't know that my feeling was "clear minded" or "pure elation"! It was more like, "oh my, let me lay down a bit!" I'm really curious about this. I'd like to try making it, because I loved the taste, but don't want it to become some alcohol addiction... And I also avoid caffeine teas, so I'll have to find a version without caffeine.. I was trying to delude myself that the caffeine gets eaten up with the sugar, but I think that's a bit of a fantasy!

I make my own and can attest for your feelings.

I have two problems with Kombucha tea though. First, its tea, and tea has caffeine. I am going to be trying some caffeine-free teas to see how it goes. Second, you add sugar to the Kombucha and it is supposed to be all eaten up by the scoby, but what if its not and I'm just high on sugar and caffeine.

When I drink a bunch in one evening I sometimes feel drained in the morning. Who knows?

I do love it though and drink some most nights (days too). My favorite is plain with ginger. I wouldn't worry about drinking some every day. Do whats right for you, just make sure you acknowledge the good with the bad to be true to yourself.

Peace

Rome was AWESOME, another fantastic HBO series. True Blood is also pretty cool, but I read the books so it's bittersweet for me. Did anyone else catch Carnivale? That was really well done as well.

For a sore throat I mix salt into warm water and gargle with it. Then a warm drink with honey (nut milk, tea). Be well.

Me walking between China and Dragon as I get ready to turn them out into a big pasture. They're my buds, they stay real close to me, one on each side, whenever I got out to where they are. It is very sweet! :)

It sounds like you are not eating enough fruit. If you eat more sweet fruit, your desire for candy and other processed foods that are sweet will go away.
