
Inspired2act has inspired me to act! Well, act again anyways. Throughout my 10 sad, sedentary years, I have gotten inspired to turn off my computer and get off of my scrawny ass to get in shape on a handful of occasions. 4 or 5 to be exact. Mostly I would start and then stop before I even made any real progress, or I wouldn’t go at it consistently enough to change. Working out became a “special occasion”, followed by a renewed enthusiasm to do it again because of how great it felt, and then…. you guessed it… nothing! Only one time I succeeded in maintaining it consistently for a long enough period to start seeing some results and feeling a lot stronger, but I have never reached my goal. I was working out 3-4x a week for a couple months and it was exciting to see myself getting stronger, from not being able to do one unassisted chin-up, to easily doing 5 reps of them in a row per set. As usual though, a big change in life got in the way again and derailed my routine and momentum, throwing me right back to where I started. I’ve had a few false starts since then where I almost got to the top of the hill where it would of started getting easier, but of course gave up just before then. Sound like anyone you know? : )
