So I am on day 3 of the juice fast and we are having a big pizza party at my job tomorrow!! I can already tell I will be dying and I'm so scared to fall off the wagon! I'm completely committed to this tho and stay strong but is there any mental tricks I can borrow to get pass the entire day without a slice of delicious buffalo chicken pizza?!

Comment by ewtanis on February 21, 2012 at 7:31pm Braggs Apple Vinegar!.. This is great for cravings, and bunch of other stuff. I am on day 52 on my juice-feast, and do 2oz shots regularly (once a day). I also add this to my green juices along with some cayenne pepper.. it usually does the trick.. few events like that I had to excuse myself, and took off.

Comment by Prana on February 20, 2012 at 7:02pm Everything that happens before you get to the party and are confronted with the pizza is all mental. It doesn't help to think about it, but you can do some things to prepare for the party. For example, it helps if you are not hungry when you go to the party. It also helps to bring some raw snacks with you, so that if you do happen to feel like eating something, you will have healthy and raw options available to you. One of the things successful raw foodists learn is to not depend on other people to feed oneself, that it is always wise to bring your own food to social events were there will be food served.
Comment by Israel Hands on February 20, 2012 at 6:28pm Actually very little of it is mental. The mind is notoriously unreliable at these things, as can easily be ascertained if you attend events like these regularly. (There is actually a small %age of people who can use their minds to effectively control their bodily urges but most of us are not that lucky).
What you need to do is to eat enough raw foods daily, have enough raw foods around all the times, meet your nutritional req, have adequate sleep, exercise, sunlight, stress management, water etc. These are most of the biggies.
What your mind can do is to help you to make those things a priority.
That's my view anyway. Good luck!
Comment by Stephanie Guzman on February 20, 2012 at 6:20pm So very true, Thank you, I have to keep my eyes on the goal! and you are very right pizza parties come and go but I can't mess this up when I'm doing so good so far. Thanks again!
Comment by gina on February 20, 2012 at 6:06pm Agrees with Tuco Shaw. I've been having cravings for mashed potatoes and vegan chicken patties, and the ONLY thing that gets me through is to remind myself of how awesome it feels NOT to have that stuff in me .Clean clean clean!

It is a more advance Hatha Yoga Asana. You should know the basics of Yoga before trying. Even if you can't try, it is beautiful to watch. Recording in Yoga Vidya Ashram Meinberg. In the background you can see a mural of the Kundalini Shakti going through the 7 Chakras.
