Give it to me Raw

I did an Interview about my diet for the 'Sunday Herald' and 'Melbourne Age' and the photographer came round today.
I thought it would just be a few snaps, but it was like a proper photo shoot, over an hour of just taking photos and loads of big lights and a huge backdrop.. It was quite funny, cos the guy was a professional photographer and it was all " just a bit this way" and "A little to the left" and so on. It was all a bit funny and I started to laugh.

So now I have a bit of an idea what proper models have to go through, holding poses for ages and putting a lot of time and energy into a session for just one good photo.

I wore my vintage '50's Watermelon frock.

They told me that I was to be photographed next to a giant piece of fruit. I was excited about meeting the giant fruit, but it is going to be superimposed, so I had to pretend to lean against a huge piece of fruit. The photographer brought his portable pole! But it was all above board - no dancing! just leaning.

It is a bit tricky doing interviews, I have done several in the past and you can be misquoted and edited and then there is usually the opinion of a nutritionist added, who generally isn't favourable to a fruit diet. However it can be worth it.
Years ago, when I was in London, at a talk by David Wolfe, a very beautiful woman approached me and said that she had been inspired to go on a raw diet, after reading an article about me in a U.K women's mag. I felt very happy that such a beautiful person had appreciated the article.

Love and peace XX.

Thanks RawTastic and Suvine,
if there is a link, I will post it.
It was my first proper photoshoot, and it was fun.
I have had pictures in mags and newspapers before, but it was always quick snaps. This guy was awesome, he shoots dancers a lot and so was very fussy about the poses!
He took over 200 frames, and wanted to take more but his light equipment box kept over heating, so we had to stop. It is tropical summer here.
It was good exercise too, as I had to keep stretching and holding poses!

Thank you Xerxes and Aishwarya,
the dress is one of my faves. So cool you had one too Aishwarya! It is genuine 1950's and has been so carefully looked after by somebody, the fabric looks like new.
The magazine will only be available in Australia, as it is in the week-end magazine of the 'Sydney Herald' and 'Melbourne Age'. I think sometimes newspapers are available internationally, but they don't usually include the magazines.
Love and peace XX.

Anne and the Giant Peach! Please post the photos soon!
About the frock! Oh mine! When i was around 10 I had a similar kind of frock which I used to wear mostly all the time. iT had all these watermelon slices over it. It got passed to a cozin when I grew taller. Funnily we met at my grandpa's 75th birthday this december and guess what, she is on a journey to be vegan ... and was also asking me about raw and all! How amazing!

I think the green is more "leafy" tasting (which I don't mind) but doesn't have the same long-lasting aftertase that the white does. I love the Wisdom of the Ancients green stevia liquid. I've finally made friends with stevia, LOL! I get it from V...
