Give it to me Raw

Even my midwife has reccommended that I eat hot food. I'm in a quandry over what is healthiest anyway... I've read a lot about eating in season and it makes sense to me. But I read so much conflicting information and ultimately have to decide what I think is best. So I don't know... I love my baby and love being pregnant but part of me is so ready to have this baby so I can go back to the way I was- hardly any cravings, exercise with no restrictions, herbs with no restrictions, detoxing when I want... but that won't come for a while either until I stop nursing my baby. The raw food diet will be so much easier when I'm not pregnant...

You can always buy some digestive enzymes to take with the cooked food, to help it go down better of that is what you want right now.

If you want cooked food then you should just have some. You can have cooked vegan food which is not so bad you know. It's just the junk processed cooked food that is really harmful. Home cooked with love vegan food is all right. No need to beat yourself up about it ;)

hey! I agree with Jef, listen to your body and perhaps eat the healthiest possible hot food and lots of spices. Why don't you try a hot and raw soup, my favourite is butternut squash and red pepper (Im sure you could find some great recipes on the internet.) Or crackers straight from the dehydrator...or even cooked quinoa or steamed veggies? Enjoy! xxx

Hi Christa! The most important thing right now is not whether or not you eat hot food or cold food, but just to LOVE yourself, and LOVE your baby. That is what your baby needs right now! Love being pregnant, and love doing all that for your baby! (only taking certain herbs, not doing detox, not doing jumping jacks--what excercise are you restricted on?) A baby is growing inside you! Enjoy this time, (Its AMAZING!) and let the rest go, if you possibly can, and you'll come out with a healthy happy baby because you were healthy and happy while pregnant--mentally and emotionally-- not just food wise. I ate a bagel with cream cheese every night before bed with my 3rd child, and look at her! (ok, I'm biased). She is so healthy... . now, I wouldn't do that again, now, but I'm just saying, its ok to relax a little bittle. Do what you need to do. Warm your food slightly. Everything will be ok. Sending you happy warm thoughts........♥

I worked in Utah in the winter and had to deal with sub zero weather. Believe me, I wanted hot food.

I found that I could warm things up to about 115 which is what you have to wait for it to be edible at anyway when it starts boiling hot . . . also, use warming spices like cayenne, ginger, cloves, etc . . .

There are also ways to keep your body warm / raise body temp internally (like meditating monks in Tibet do), but that's another story . . .

im confused. matt monarch swears by regular colonic hydrotherapy. its his no.1 raw tip, didn't think it could be dangerous but now it kind of makes sense. enemas seem much more natural in comparison.

I've heard great, great things about Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA. I know that isn't really in the Los Angeles area, but it's still in CA and I believe they provide students the option to stay in their 'Living Light Inn'....

The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.
