Give it to me Raw

Did you know that one cup of chopped kale contains 307% of your daily value (DV) of Vitamin A, 200% of your DV of
Vitamin C, and 13% of your DV of calcium? I had no idea what to do with kale before I switched from a standard American diet (SAD) to my new living and raw food diet. I’d always been afraid to try it, it was leafy, green, and frightening. Now, I make kale chips all the time and love it in my salads and sandwiches too. Read On --> [...]

Hey RawTastic!, the kale chips are dehydrated. Check out the full blog and recipe on our website. It's linked above, but you can just click here.

Sonia- what kind of miso do you use? Chickpea? That makes a realy good creamy sauce too. That's a great idea too!

The "white stuff" is a dressing that is brushed on the leaves and adds a wonderful flavor. Check out the recipe at the "Read On" link in the post. I know what you mean about adding nuts. It is easy to overdo fat intake on a raw food diet, especially when first starting out. We don't feel compelled to add them though. If we add nuts to a recipe we do so out of choice, and usually use them sparingly.

What's all that white stuff on the leaves? I'm guessing cashews or something. I don't understand why so many raw foodies feel compelled to add nuts to everything. Kale chips works just fine without them.

I don't think this exists for humans yet, unfortunately - but what I think would be the healthiest mattress (and virtually free of dust-mites, even bed-bugs which inflict some homes recently) for humans would be the same as the healthiest for pets...
