Give it to me Raw

It is quite a challenge to go raw, when you have a family that wants cooked food. I have been eating more end more raw food the last 9 months, but some weeks ago I felt that I was slipping back towards the more traditional vegetarian diet, almost every day I had some cooked food, and I felt that it was exhausting having to prepare two different dinners every day.

Then a great thing happened. I by chance discovered "Give it to me Raw" and stumbled on a blog by Pontus in Sweden. He had such lovely photos of fresh and tempting raw food. This gave me the inspiration to take photos of what I myself was eating. And suddenly it was no problem at all to switch back to the almost completely raw diet. The raw food looked so much better then the cooked!

The picture shows my breakfast at the first morning when I started to take photos of my meals. I felt quite enthusiastic about what I was doing and showed the photo to a person who did not know me very well. He looked quite shocked and asked if I really had red wine for breakfast. You probably have already guessed that it is just a blueberry smoothie.

When I manage to keep to a raw diet, I feel just great.

I can sympathize. My husband eats a typical American diet of whatever the heck he wants. Making two dinners every night does get tiring! However, a funny thing starts to happen when you make a raw dinner and a regular crappy dinner; the regular crappy dinner starts to look not so good next to the raw dinner! My husband has just recently asked me to share my dinners with him. Soon, who knows maybe he'll be eating raw too! Stay strong, listen to your body, do what's right for you and by your example others will follow! Peace be with you!

This is what my mom recommends too. The thing is I live in a high-rise building in NYC, so I'm definetely not "grounded". The grounding bed technology makes sense, but it doesn't feel natural to me. Has anyone tried it? Did you notice any changes...

Would soaking them help? I've read that nuts in general has alot of anti-nutrients & soaking is always suggested.

Does anyone make raw recipes for their pets? Do you think it's healthy for dogs to not eat meat?
