I just went to The Casbah (8th & Mass) in Lawrence, one of my favorite places in town. All veg, local organic produce, cafe and deli with vegan and raw stuff, everyone who works there is beautiful... I picked up some kale, tomatoes and just tried some of the raw almond hummus they make, yum! I'm gonna have to recreate it at home sometime.
I haven't been working much at all (a few hours this week), but I've been taking full advantage of that time to write music, meditate, ride my bike, read and enjoy life. I have a few jobs lined up for next week.
I've found that eating raw works best for me when:
-I don't try
-I have another friend doing it
Those two are pretty big. If I try to force myself to eat raw, it backfires and I go binge. If I just eat whatever I feel like, it turns out to be mostly raw anyway (and always vegan). Going with the flow and not forcing things has been a reoccurring theme for me this year; applying it to my life has had a huge positive influence on my well-being.
My band is playing a show tonight and I'm making a multitrack recording of it. W00t! This should be a blast.
