- Interesting. I'm not so familiar with the use of formaldehyde to preserve fruits. That's incredibly disgusting.

- I wouldn't think so, but coconuts that come from outside the US have to be treated with numerous chemicals such as formaldehyde to keep from spoiling; as well as other chemicals for bugs that happen to make there way in the shipping vessels.
