Give it to me Raw

It is 7:30 pm in Germany

Ok, at the moment I am doing some changes to this page so that it becomes Tanja´s and Micha´s page: name has changed to rawmicki (Tanja & Micha), photo has changed.

Tanja will include some information for the profile tomorrow and is planning to write her first blog post, which is as I have said in German. She understands English very well, but writing in English is a bit difficult. If any one has questions feel free to ask.

So today we went for our first walk together: 5.2 km, it took us one hour. We have a lovely forest and some hills where we live, which is Bad Iburg in Niedersachsen, Germany. The forest is called Teutoburger Wald. We will post some pictures the next days.

This is our decision and plan as to our way of eating: 100% vegetarian, 80% vegan (we still eat eggs and cheese), between 50-70% RAW. I have informed myself about Metabolic Balance two month ago and also got a plan from a health practitioner. So we will be careful to include much protein (mainly plant sources like beans, soy, tofu, sprouts) with each meal.

This is i.e. what we have eaten today: a big Green Smoothie in the morning, this is our favorite RAW food, a salad with beans and cucumber for lunch, for dinner we had steamed vegetables (spinach for me, carrots for Tanja) and a very tasty rye bread with cheese.

That´s it for today. I am glad to be back, and this time together with my sweetie!! :))

You're suppose to be able to pick the leaf out of the middle - and it comes out realllllllll easy - if it's ripe. It should smell ripe too.

Your dog is sooo cute! I have a dog too and two cats, and I looove them! I feed them wheatgrass and they actually choose that before regular grass wich they normally chew on in the garden.

It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...

Yes, I believe two out of the four pineapples I've had the last several months have been alright with me, after having let them "ripen" for some days. The one that turned out the best was one I stored in a bag of ripening bananas. I did the same t...
