Last night my bestie & I went to see Raw Transformations, a talk with Matt Monarch & Angela Stokes. It was really great and we got some tips and tricks that should prove useful. Angela is super excited about homesteading in Ecuador. My ambition in life is to be a midwife; maybe once I'm trained I could move to Ecuador and be the midwife for the families down there! I had previously felt like maybe I would never realize my goal, but since starting raw I feel more positive about it than ever and really think it's my calling in this life to help women & babies in that way.
We picked up some great items that they had for sale- things I was planning on ordering online anyway. Untoasted nori sheets, raw olives, some raw granola (I'm REALLY excited about this, crunchy cereal in milk is one thing I'd been missing a lot) that Matt highly recommended, and a skin brush. Philip McCluskey talking about ways to tone up skin had gotten me wanting to skin brush, so I got the brush last night so I didn't have to buy it from a big drugstore chain.
Cyndi got Angela's book, Raw Emotions, which we'd both been wanting to read, a spiralizer (yessss), some raw sprouted cinnamon cereal, and a skin brush.
Yesterday was the first day in about ten years I used a cotton tampon- ugh. I've used the Diva Cup or Keeper for about 11 years now, but this month, I don't know, it just wasn't working out. I'll be 29 in a month... I guess it's possible I need the 30 years and older size now. That's a little depressing LOL. My vagina doesn't FEEL any bigger. Anyway, I'll be ordering one post haste because cotton tampons are not only uncomfortable but incredibly wasteful.
Well, we're off to the farmer's market! I hope to get some pretty golden zucchini to spiralize for lunch today :)
