Give it to me Raw

Criticism answers the first question, "What's wrong?"

However, true transformation never comes from just knowing what's wrong.

Okay great, something is fucked up. Now what? This is when Creation enters the picture.

Creation
Some questions to get you started Creating:

- What could an alternative look like?
- What else is possible?
- Are there things about the thing I'm criticizing that I like?
- Are there things about the thing I'm criticizing that I can learn from?
- Are there other examples or role models in the world for an alternative?
- What would an alternative look like ideally?
- What would an alternative look like as a first step?
- Do I have the motivation, passion and energy to want to take that first step in building an alternative?

I see a lot of Criticism on this site. I'd love to see a lot more talk about creation.

Beautiful...so applicable to parents as well. It is fast and easy to launch criticism, it takes more thought and insight to dig into creation.

Criticism, if shared with love and offered as a sincere way of helping someone become better, is vital for continued growth. Sometimes it's not easy to hold back criticism when we see a way to help others. But, offering criticism when someone isn't asking for it, or ready for it, isn't very constructive. :-/

I'm all for creating! I've dedicated myself to creating ways to help our raw community continue to grow and become stronger. I encourage all of you to use your creativity in ways to help others--it feeds your soul and inspires others! We raw foodies have some pretty powerful energy to bring about incredible transformations in this world. Let's support each other rather than knocking each other down. :-)

Lots of love to all of you,

Wendi

It's easy to be a critic. It's hard to be a creator.

I will strive for positive communications and thoughts and frame any criticism constructively.

Thanks for pointing that out Dhru. Something to be conscious of. Happy New Year!

I agree. I like to see building and creation of the positive. The destruction and demolition sites of negativity is disheartening. Sadly it's everywhere. I just watched a wild weed walk video and amid the complements and thankful comments were distracting criticisms unrelated even to the discussion.
I think I do okay online, remaining positive and avoiding disturbances, but I believe that we could benefit by applying this list to my family gatherings! :)
