Criminalize Organic Farming Bill HR-875

A call to arms needs to be taken. Essentially, the United states government is trying to nationalize the agriculture industry. By doing so they will be creating a monopoly and a set "standard" or rules and regulations that all farmers have to abide by. The idea is to regulate farming procedures to 'eliminate' the risks of food borne diseases and bacterial outbreaks such as E.coli. This will be carried out by using only GMO seeds, select pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers et cetera all of which would be provided by one company: Monsanto. This bill and its counterpart will rob us of our freedom to even grow vegetables and fruits in our backyards. You can kiss your heirloom seeds goodbye. This is serious and the bill is trying to be rushed through congress. Even more disgusting - and it's hard to imagine - is the way they're trying to pass this bill. Monsanto is basically canvasing every area possible: they're a bio tech company that owns many patents, they spend millions on lobbyists and they're even trying to get representatives into congress to help ensure their own footing. This is all really, real and is happening as we speak. Please educate yourself. Research, create awareness groups, spread information, contact your local representatives, hit the streets, your local press and media do whatever is necessary to regain what is now beginning to feel like a novelty, freedom.
