1) Yup! I've been to a few at Catch a Healthy Habit Cafe, hosted by Glen Collelo. They're wicked fun.
2) Nope!
3) My excuse is time, I guess, but that's not a very good excuse!

Oh man I highly recommend everyone become a member of meetup.com! I've been a member for years and am the organizer of the dallas dachshund meetup.
I just became raw about a week ago, but I will be attending a meetup soon. If my city didn't already have a great core group, I would totally organize one! I might see if I can get together some people from here for an outing to our new raw cafe, Bliss.

I am starting more in Los Angeles so if people are interested just contact me as my new RAW Restaurant/Cafe/Delivery Service is launching this week or next in Los Angeles! It will be in the Hollywood/Silverlake area on Sunset Blvd. RAWCK ON! :o)

1) no, thou I have gone to stockholm a few times to participate in potlucks (still it's almost three hours away)
2) no, not yet :)
3) I'm as far as my eyes can see and from being part of several raw communities (including one - soon two - swedish) the only raw vegan in my area (within resonable travel from my city).

You can always ask a produce dept. employee at Whole Foods to cut one open so you can try it before you waste your money. It's store policy to let people sample things:)

I need a mango now more than ever.
This year has been the worst mango season I've ever seen :( Honey mangos were sad with light colored flesh that held little flavor...Kent mangos...don't even make me go there.
