Give it to me Raw

I've been dieting off and on for 1 1/2 years. Last June I decided to give the Raw Food lifestyle a try.For a few months I was doing great. Like I've always done in the past with dieting,but then I decided to resume eating junk especially fast food. Then I decided that if I was going to continue eating junk I would at least make an effort to be healthier so we had a Raw Thanksgiving & Christmas. Which meant I wasn't overly bloated like everyone else AND I didn't gain any weight.

Fast forward to the New Year. I'm not one for making New Year's Resolutions. I'm an all or nothing personality so this year I decided to shift it into high gear by going Raw AND exercising. I'm currently doing a Master Cleanse and this is Day 11! For me this is huge because I've always been addicted to food and I never thought I could go this long without eating. The great thing is I'm not doing this to starve myself I'm doing it to clean out the toxins in my system and give me the edge on staying Raw.

As of today I've lost 70 lbs on my Weight Loss Journey- 43 lbs since going Raw! :-)

5 days ago I made it under 200 lbs. I don't think any woman should ever weigh this much unless she's really tall! I'm only 5'3" LOL I haven't been under 200 in 6 years so you can imagine how excited I am. When I lose 4 more lbs this will be my weight 5 1/2 yrs ago when I met my fiance. So you can say he's pretty excited about this as well. :-)

I hope this can inspire someone because I have truly been inspired by many of you!

Yes, he's great. It's because of him that I found out about Raw. I've been researching tweaking his diet since I met him. He's a Celiac and has other food allergies.

I definitely plan on staying Raw. There's really no reason not to. The food is delicious and I can't wait to try out several recipes that are being shared.

You can do it too and your body will definitely thank you for it. :-)

I know how you feel. It's good to hear that your man is by your side in this. Hopefully once you hit your target weight you continue on your raw path.

At least this is the plan I have for myself. I'm working out a few kinks in my raw eating but i know this will work out.

Yes, less nuts is what seemed to speed up the weight loss process for me as well as exercise.

I started a process of adding more raw to my diet about a month before Christmas, and have been probably 90% raw for the last month or so .... over that time i have now released 20 pounds, including this morning when i hopped on the scales and had lost another 3 pounds - i was so excited!!! :)

Keep up the great work .... it is super exciting, huh?!

You go girl!!! That is awesome! And you do inspire me. I am in a very similar situation. I have 5 lbs. to go to be under 200 lbs. I just can't wait to get out of that bracket. It is going a little slowly, so I am adding more veggies and less nuts. It willbe so interesting how we change and transform as we contiune on our raw journeys!

After the third or fourth day I seem to function better then when I am eating heavy meals. My last fast I was walking eveyday. I just feel great when I am fasting.
