Hi all, I first discovered raw food in '03 when I saw Brian Clement speaking at a large event. I just wandered into the room...and everything that he said made perfect sense to me and I started making arrangements to go to Hippocrates. I also connected with an amazing Medical Intuitive, Anthony William, who is apparently MIA at the moment (so if anyone out there knows him, I consider him a friend & would love to connect). So, I did the 3 weeks at Hippo and then I was 100% raw for 2 years. Life was fabulous and there was/is a ton of support for raw in Miami/Coconut Grove. (Love Glaser Farms - check them out online.) Then, I started traveling & moved to Wichita. The heavy traveling that I have done over the last 2 years got me totally off-track with growing wheat grass, sprouting, etc. Eventually, I was off and feeling pretty miserable about it. I have gained weight and I knew that my decreasing energy was due to my mostly vegan diet. Then, I came across Matt's site and then Angela's. I read her book for overeating and I totally connected with her comments on emotional attachment to food and the next day I went raw again!! WoooHoooo!! I want to get back to that amazing place with raw where I have a ton of energy, I look fab and feel even better inside.
I should also mention that I had my thyroid out when I was 17 (twice actually) and then got all the other thyroid issues that come along with that (eyes, etc). So, I went from a pretty healthy athlete to nothing and ever since then I have struggled with my weight, energy, etc. Raw resolved so many issues that I was having...and it was so very interesting to be in acupuncture school while going raw. I think it had a great impression upon everyone who witnessed the transformation. I just heard from the prez of the school and she went raw 5 weeks ago! Yeah! :)
2008 is a number 1 year and translating that to Five Element then it's all about the heart, being conscious, aware, present, grounded and centered in control of our palaces and lives. :)
Ok, my first blog ever. ;)
Happy New Year everyone!
