today i tested myself physically and i succeeded. i felt a lot of energy. i walked (hiked really) down to the farmer's market with one of my dogs. we got a whole bunch of greens and lettuce and some tomatoes from the early greenhouse grower. it was a good hike up those hills.
later today we worked on getting some supplies for the worm bin. we are going to make one so we can put some compost into it. plus, worms are really cool and i want to do it with my students next year.
but, the best part was i biked! i love biking and i haven't really biked in 3 years because of my back pain. but i have been feeling good so i just tried a little ride. it was ok, i just have to take it slow to work up to more. it's hard because we live on a hill so i have to pace myself. but i want to do a little each day. there is nothing like the wind rushing past your face down a hill. it feels so free!
today's food:
breakfast: green smoothie with kale, spinach, berries, orange. banana.
lunch: large salad with tat soi and lettuce mix with mint-hemp dressing, melon, leftover raw bean dip from yesterday. melon
snack: green smoothie with berries, banana, flax, cacao, spinach.
dinner: salad (same as above), more melon.
