Give it to me Raw

Hi,
I am very new to all of this and I just had a question. Are food dehydrators necessary to have a raw lifestyle?

Thank you,
Tanya

Last year I would have said no, but now I think if you are planning to go raw forever it's nice to have options to keep yourself interested in the raw lifestyle. I've been raw since 2008, and when I was falling off the wagon, the gourmet dehydrated recipes kept me interested. Every week, I use my dehydrator to make snacks for the week, such as onion rings, kale chips, and dried banana leather. It works for me. I never feel deprived. Also, just knowing I have the options to indulge in some healthy "onion rings" is nice.

I find it absolutely essential in my life.... Especially for things like soaking nuts and seeds, then dehydrating them and throwing them in the fridge in jars, so they are ready to use at any time...

I only use mine to make vegetable chips.

Thank you to everyone who responded to me. I am thinking that having a food dehydrator might help the rest of my family want to join in. I do have one on order, but wondering how necessary they are.
I am very simple in that I can be happy without gourmet raw, but my family probably needs more convincing and this just might be the ticket. Thanks again! Tanya

I want one long-term but I have able to get by without one. Until a few weeks ago we did not have a food processor, which made things rough :) but still I was able to find enough variation to keep interested. Good luck!

I am in total agreeance. I try and steer pretty clear of too much de-hydro'ed grubbin'. The after effects aren't as pleasant as the light, airy feelings that follow macking on a green salad or smooth-ay.

Keep it easy, keep it breezy:)

i ahve one and in 4 months have only used it twice... honestly think the things that need dehydration re too heavy for my stomach, they tend to give me a tummy ache :(

or if you still have one, stick the oven on as low as it will go.
food will not dehydrate as quick if no fan, but works fine,
ive got some "fried fish" dehydrating at home ready for tea later mmm m

peace
hey RV, you have a recipe for that pizza ?? looks real good ....
