Seattle won't disappoint! ;) Maybe I'm biased?! But like Nikki suggested you could very easily visit both when you're here. In PDX, Blossoming Lotus is great! Although, I'm sad to report they had to modify their raw selections recently due to these economic times. But in Seattle there are options too plus there's lots to do and see.

Looking at all the recommendations, I think we're going to go with Seattle. Sorry Portland!
My friend had been leaning towards Seattle anyways.
I'd love to visit both, but unfortunately it's only a 4 day trip...

Both! I live in Seattle and visit Portland all the time. It's a quick 3 hour drive and both have raw/vegan eats and fun thing to do. Definitely a different vibe in each city. I would recommend a few days each if you can rent a car, or you can take a train. Have fun :)

Seattle, Seattle, Seattle, ALL THE WAY!!!!! As far as raw food goes, there is Chaco Canyon, Thrive, House of the Sun Raw Bar, and billions of cooked vegan/vegetarian restaurants. You will have no trouble finding things to eat I promise. The weather is amazing here right now and spring is like the most gorgeous season in Seattle. If you decide to come here, PM me and I will help you decide were to go!!!! Seattle is my city and I love it.

Never been to Seattle but I am moving up to PDX in May, I just love it THAT much!!! My radar zero-ed in on your post as soon as you dropped the P-bomb. It's a beautiful city where vegan friendly options abound...

If you take the Portland route you have to check out The Blossoming Lotus in the Pearl District. Awesome vegan restaurant in a yoga studio with great raw dishes. Papa G's is a vegan deli that has a lot of raw and I heard there is a cart in front of the Portland co-op that makes green smoothies- yet to check out that sweet little wagon yet....

I'm sure the kind people of Ports can shed more light on the subject but I had to bust a little knowledge on my fav new town. Have a dope trip cupcake!

If you go to Seattle. Choco Cayon Cafe is vegan/raw food. I hear that Portland has more vegan/raw food options than Seattle and is cheaper.
