Wrangham is alone in his field. Few others believe that cooking translated to brain growth and development.

I knew this was going to get a rise out of some people which is why I didn't comment initially. I thought it would however get more than 2 comments after a day though. I was hoping for some comments with some well thought out comments though.
There IS some good info in that article too though:
"We're very bad at calorie-counting at the moment," Wrangham said. "Counting calories does not take into account the processibility of food."
Most people (I'm not talking raw foodists particularly) just count calories and not take into consideration what they are putting into their mouths. Also the additional energy needed to process raw foods and then the lower calorie content is probably one of several reasons so many people on a raw diet lose so much weight.
There was little supporting evidence for parts of the article however. Like where did they get this info:
"Half of all women eating exclusively raw foods become so thin that they stop menstruating, he said."
Are the numbers seriously that high? I know some people prefer to stop menstruating but is it really that healthy? If it is really half then how many is it on purpose (I think I saw someone say in a post that that was their goal) and how many is this just simple an unexpected result.
Luke warm water(plain water) enema is good, but you can add a table spoon of salt to the water before using.
You may even boil the water with some neem leafs and then "leave the water for sometime so that it cools and comes down to room temperatu...

Amen, Loren. So do you feel the same way about blending then? The whole fiber is still there with blending so not improving on nature as much as sort of 'pre-chewing', if you will
I'm planning to start enemas too (I think when my roommate will leave next month...). Of course it's unnatural, but we have eaten unnatural for years and years and I believe it can help a lot getting out the waste.
I just wanted to ask, what water...
