Avocado is great with cacao and carob but I also really like it with smoothies that have berries, papaya and mango.
It is also wonderful for raw puddings as it gives that really creamy texture that makes it seem more like dessert. You can make a really delicious chocolate mousse with avocado, cacao or carob powder, vanilla and some kind of sweetener like dates or raw honey.
I did try the avocado today! It was like chocolate mousse... =) It really made a difference... *surprised* This time I also used some ice cream bananas... but I think the main difference was the avocado... it created a special creaminess, definitely I will use avocado more... =) Does the avocado work mostly with cacao, or does it go good in other kind of smoothies too?

I have to hunt down some carob... and good quality oil...
I just made one, slightly modified... no avocado, coconut oil or carob powder... and I used arugula instead of lettuce... and I added some bee pollen... YUMMY!
My next one I may try coconut water and coconut meat, and maybe some avocado (I've never put avo in my smoothies before)
