Want to Travel Eduador; Drive the PanAmerican Highway. Starting research.
I need to learn Spanish and the intricacies of the culture; how not to get in trouble.
My BF and I would love to buy a motorhome and drive the PanAmerican Hgy, needing to ship around the Darien Gap.
HAS ANYONE EVER DONE THIS?

my wish is to drive texas through mexico & on south.
everyone advises NOT to drive through Mexico, corrupt cops mainly, banditoes. oh well, nice idea at first.

I lived and worked as a volunteer for three months in Venezuela. Also been to Costa Rica with relatives in Panama . . . Definitely some things to learn BEFORE you go. South Mexico can be pretty dangerous . . .
Personally, I would visit once before moving . . . I thought I could spend forever in Venezuela, and while part of me didn't want to leave, I was really glad to get back . . .
