Give it to me Raw

Got the idea to use Dr. Bronner's Liquid Soap. For a couple weeks, despite the weird taste. Thought I was doing myself a favor. I stopped cuz everything I ate tasted weird. And then everything in my EMPTY MOUTH tasted weird, if you know what I mean. Like, ALL THE TIME. Scary. Went away after ten days!!

I use the oils for flavor & the clove in particular is best for its anaesthetic properties. I cracked a tooth that I am waiting for an appt to get it crowned, but want to keep it clean in the interm.
Horsetail is high in silica: good for teeth, tooth enamel, hair, nails etc. Baking soda is a little bit filler really.
Tongue scraping is critical in my opinion. It just matters what feels clean to you.

The toothsoap that Breanna mentioned is very popular choice, I think she just copied the info from their website.

I shoulda put that in quotes. I was just lazy and copy/pasted something from their website.

It's made from saponified coconut, palm and olive oil. It makes my teeth feel cleaner than anything i've ever used, including baking soda which i've heard is abrasive anyway.
Their toothswish is made from minerals so you can swish it around in your mouth between or after brushes and it helps your teeth remineralize.
I felt some cavities coming on before I got the tooth swish and when I was being lazy about brushing consistently. But I floss, brush and use the tooth swish now and my mouth has never felt better.

Breanna, I don't use conventional tooth cleansing products. Do you work for these people or something? This sounds like an ad.

Amy, is all that stuff necessary?

http://www.toothsoap.com/

Unlike conventional tooth cleansing products that coat the teeth and gums with contaminating ingredients, Tooth Soap® cleaned teeth facilitate re-mineralization from nutrients in the diet/saliva and gums are encouraged to strengthen.

I use a mix of Horsetail powder, baking soda, therapeutic grade clove oil, peppermint oil, water. Brush, Tongue scrape & floss 2x a day. And go to the dentist every 6-7 months.

I don't use toothpaste. Haven't in... mmm about 5 years. I get my teeth cleaned every 6 months & my dentist said it's fine. I just floss & brush twice daily.
