Give it to me Raw

So, I've totally been off my "raw" kick.. I am now back in focus - and I'm ready to get back in action!! =] What are some good recipes? for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Also, I'd like to fast, is there a such thing as a water fast? It's really hot in the desert right now, so I haven't been eating very much anyways. Thanks for all your help!

I had these great "teeny tiny pzzas" with our salad last night. I will include the recipe below. A bit of prep, but really rather simple. Also, really enjoyed lettuce wraps that included mashed avocado, fresh corn, tomato, onion, garlic, jalapeno, lemon juice, sea sale (to taste). You can really play with the ingredients depending on your mood. Personally I would prefer to add in something a bit firmer to balance out the mushy texture...maybe tiny cubed butternut squash? You just spoon the mixture into a romaine lettuce leaf and eat!

Teeny Tiny Pizzas
Sauce:
In a food processor blend some plum tomatoes, soaked sun dried tomatoes & a little of the soaking water, garlic, and any kind of Italian herbs

Cheese:
In a food processor blend 1/3rd sunflower seeds with 2/3rds pine nuts until you get an almost powder, then fold in a little water and some mustard powder until you get a creamy liquid.

Pizza:
Destem some button mushrooms, fill with a dollop of sauce and cheese, and then dehydrate, or eat as is.

(for the cheese, I also added a little sea salt, and a little lemon juice (just a bit))

As far as fasting, there is a water fast, but depending on what you have been eating you may want to be gentle. I have found fasting is most successful if I ease down to it. It also helps to cut the effects of detox (headache, etc.). One way is to do a short, two day clearing detox that would go something like: 8am: water with 1/2 lemon squeezed in and one crushed clove of garlic, 8:30am: glass filtered water, 9:00am: handful of grapes, 9:30am: cup of detox tea, 10:00am, handful of walnuts; 10:30am: glass of filtered water, 11:00am: handful of raisins, 11:30am: cup of detox tea, 12:00pm: low sugar vegetable salad, ETC... You can include things like "one apple and one cucumber," "5 brazil nuts," "two green peppers," and so forth. After that, do 2 or 3 days of juice fasting including one green vegetable smoothie a day if you can. From there it will be much smoother to go into a water fast. When you are done, ease yourself out slowly.

Not sure if this helps, but best of luck on your new raw adventure! My biggest advice is keep food with you at all times, and for starters, keep it simple and eat as many huge salads as it takes! :-)

Where in the desert are you?

I've been doing some "research" on ear candling, and have found three different reports: 1) it's great, feels great, and really helps to clear out the sinuses/lymphs 2) it feels great, but that's just the warmth and it doesn't actually do anything...
