So what I have been doing lately is laying off fruit and going for the green/chlorophyll rich raw veggies. Ive been eating on this salad with spinach, chard, mustard greens, green onions, green peppers, and broccoli-with much of the stalk added. I did throw in some hothouse tomatoes to cut it and it did help but it was still one BITTER salad.
So I thought I could make a killer dressing with onion, pumpkin seeds, agave, and olive oil but the finished product was a tad on the disgusting side but it at least smelled great. I went to the higher end grocery stores hoping they would have a good raw-friendly salad dressing but all they had was stuff with straight sugar, HFCS, and all theses acids and gums so I thought let me look at the mustard (don't know why mustard came to mind lol)
Long story short, found the Brown Ginger (I've been craving ginger) got home threw in on my salad and fell in LOVE!!!
So for the past few days Ive been digging in to my salad then one day I left it in the fridge because I was full, the next day when I dug into it, it was even more delicious!!! It didn't dawn on me to use it as a marinade. So today I wanted some organic cherries couldn't find any, only non, so I just kept it moving- organic cherries sooooo rock! the taste is pure bliss. So I didn't break my fruit restraint today which I am sorta glad of because I feel GREAT and calm- not feenin' and on the verge of a binge. I didn't know if the cherries would cause a relapse of sorts but I was prepared to police myself.
So since I was in Kroger I meandered over to the international part and found that great Santorini cooking sauce and yep, when I got home I threw it straight on my already marinated green salad. Yall, I had to stop and just look at the salad a few times, thats how good it was! So Im going to start using a blend of those two products as marinades.
I also like the natural hygiene of eating chlorophyll rich...my breath hardly stinks, my skin is looking better and better, and I love leaving the scent of freshly cut grass whenever I have a bowel movement...just kidding, kinda lol
I'm also liking the agave nectar that I add to sweeten teas. I'm liking my weight loss, when I first started in April I was at 254lbs now I'm 224lbs and that includes a good month of drastically falling off and presently getting back on...with a vengeance. In terms of blood sugar, I don't even know why I check it anymore- each time my readings are consistently like those of a non-diabetic person and all Im using is food as my medicine. So yeah, life is good....and getting better each day.
Now if I could just find a job.....lol!
