Give it to me Raw

Greetings.

Yesterday was day nine on my health challenge and it was waterfast day. It went by smoothly. I had no problems during the day with any cravings, and haven't really had any since I started this challenge. So I guess cravings is mostly psycological. It's a menthal state of mind. The sugar cravings I had the first two days are all gone. And those were very minor. Of course I was very motivated those first days. I'm still very motivated on completing this challenge and rewriting my future destiny.

My morning routines are the same on waterfast days as on all other days. In fact all my routines are the same, exept that I drink a litre of water for braekfast and one for lunch. For dinner I have a big glas of water with 1 tsp herb salt (Herbamare from dr. Vogel). It makes the water become a like vegetable broth.

For the rest of the day my routines aren't as timely fixed as with my morning routines. There are three exeptions, lunch dinner and bedtime.

> Lunch is eaten at noon and afterwards I take a walk for at least 30 minutes.

> Dinner is eaten between 5 and 6 pm

> Bedtime is supposed to be 10 pm, thou I never get in bet until midnight. Before bedtime I take
a cold shower to rinse of the waste on my skin that comes from inside. The cold water is really rejuvinating and I feel very relaxed going to bed. I also try to get some time to go thru the day and hang aound some good things that I can be grateful for that have occured.

Other routines that are time flexible are;
> dinking 4-5 litre of pure water with ½ tsp NaCOH3 (and if desired a slice of lemon or lime).

> breathing deeply twice a day to get plentful of oxygen into my blood. I try to do this outside. The routine is 5 seconds each, breath in - hold - breath out - hold and so on for about five minutes. It really helps me getting focused, balances, clam and it clears my mind of cluttering thoughts.

> keeping a journal on how I feel after eating. This is a good way to follow up on things that I can aprove. I also note if I have anything else disturbing me and try to feel gratitude for finding it so that I can change it.

> to love myself no matter what happens, appreciate the small things and be grateful for everything (is the way it is for a reason).

In addition to these routines I take six days of eating and one day to rest. This is waterfast day. I choose Saturday to eliminate any second thoughts on eating anything outside my program since the possible temtation is greater on these days. It also feels really exceptional to know that I rest my body and allow it to cleance more deeply the same day most people really abuse their bodies, even those eating healthier. So it really fills my need for significance.

I have not yet experienced any bad days emotionally. If the come or not I leave to the future. I feel a bit hungry some days, yet a glas of water helps most times. If not, I have something to eat. I have noticed that if I don't drink my water I tend to get sugar cravings. Funny thing, isn't it? How are they related? I had one of these days last week and it ended in eating a lot of dried fruits and nuts. It was delisious and I'm grateful for the insight it gave me.

I feel a great need to go thru my eating choices as well and I will in a few days.

Until next time I wish you a blessed time.
In divine love

Durianrider, as I said we have two quite different ways of looking at health and raw foods. Dr Clament advocates living foods, ie raw food. Dr Robert Young states the following "Every food we eat has an electrical charge. The closer the food to its natural state, the higher the charge."

So raw food is superior to cooked foods, that we can agree on. I don't believe in counting calories and that the body runs on glucose in high amounts. I'm not willing to have the discussion, I know where I stand and I wont change my mind until sufficient medical and clinical evidence is layed before me to prove anything else. I totally respect your belief system and your conviction. I praise for you to have it, as long as it fills your body, mind and needs. If you are alive I'm happy. Also the last time I had a mouthul of cooked food was about two weeks ago, just before starting this 100 day challenge.

I started of at 66,5 kg and 21,0% bodyfat day one. I'm 177 cm tall. I'll let you know my weight and fat by the end of this journey.

Also for clarification, I do only one day of "waterfast" per week. Eat six, rest one. All diets are putting stress on the digestive tract. They all consume energy from the body. And true, fruit is among the less taxing things for the body to breakdown yet the sugars in there can be wrecking havoc on your system, I believe. I feel no need to discuss this questing anymore. If you'd like to have the final word, please have. I will keep you posted thru my blog on how this journey unfolds. If you have other questions on alkalinity

United we can change the world
We must stand together for the sake of raw food and still see the unity of all humans no matter what they choose to eat. Every person is doing their best with the resources they have.

That sounds lovely - but the loveliest thing is the sense of calm that shines through your description of your day. Thank you for posting this. It is contagious. Blessings...

Yes, you're right. Fasting for most people are a way to restart after a period (or lifetime) on less good foods. Yet you can also fast to rest the digestive tract. Some health advocates suggest fasting on a regular basis to allow the digestive system to rest, among them Brian Clement on Hippocrates Health Institute who does a weekly one day juice fast. I'm doing my waterfast to get a deeper cleansing at the moment. After these 100 days I'll alter my program to fit whereever I am then, yet I'll still keep this day of rest. Maybe as a juice fast.

Hey Jennifer, thanks. There is no haning in, at the moment it's dwelling in. :)

And thank you as well durianrider. A good friend of mine is also on the 811 path and I love talking to him about it, thou we have quite different point of views. From where I stand (between the New Biology by Robert Young and the teachings of the Hippocrates Health Institute) all sugars are equal to the body in terms of metabolising them. Fruit is better than processed sugars of course, for they contain vitamins and minerals helping the body to stay alkaline. Still sugar is sugar to the body.

I focus on eating lots of greens (for chlorophyll), healthy oils, salt and plentyfull of water (4-5 litres per day). I do have fruits sometime during the most days, often in the morning. And not more than 5 fruits in a day (not counting non-sweet fruits like tomatoes, cucumber, avocados etc.) So in essence binging on nuts, salt or oils are not a problem for me and as I see it binging on fruits is as bad for me as you see binging on salt and oils. I'm not saying 811 is bad, just a different path. And I do believe greens (chlorophyll) are the most important thing to eat, no matter what else you eat. If at least 50% of the plate is leafy greens it is a excellent start.

I'll keep you posted for sure. Continue to read my blog. Here or @ http://uhc100.blogspot.com/
