I have had weight issues for most of my life. So when I went raw, I cut down more and more on animal products and at the time most of the raw community agreed that being raw veegan was ideal healthwise. I really need some objective responses narrowed in on diet.
I started to eat eggs and dairy again (not raw) forgive me. And I have gained weight. I know I'm allergic to dairy. And I am starting to see that people are advocating and supporting consuming animal products in order to be healthy. I a…

This is about raw wars. Stop attacking people just because they're primal raw meat eaters, vegetarians, fruitarians, vegans, 811rs and so on. There is a common thread that we all hold, the thing that makes us all intelligent and full of purpose. We all care about food and how we live to influence the planet in a good way.
There is too much war in the world. We should stop bickering about food since it's equal to fascism and totalitarianism. It's not just about the food it's about consciousness…

Right now I'm taking a dental assisting class. We covered a nutrition chapter in class which supported the consumption of organic foods. My instructor asked the class if there was a corrolation between the hormones in conventionally raised meat and dairy and early puberty in children. I said that there is a correlation since they do inject the calf with hormones so it can grow faster in a short period of time. To which one of my classmates commented, "We all have hormones."
I tried not to debate…

I have read Dr Gabriel Cousens, David Wolfe, Victoria Boutenko, Dr Weil ( I know not raw), Dr Douglas Graham in addition to countless other authors who have published books on dieting and nutrition. I have been on and off diets ever since I was 16. Raw foods is unique in that it was a whole lifestyle overhaul and something that finally worked but it wasn't automatically the perfect diet.
I know I talked about raw nuts before but some people on here believe that if nuts are 100% raw and organic…

I started my raw journey official on january 2008 and I am still continueing on this raw path. So many raw books preach about one extreme or another. I am not knocking them its just the fact that they are either REAlly Low in FATor really high in fat. When I ate a lot of nuts my physical energy and stamina wasn't at its peak so I went back to cooked foods.
I really wish I had known now what I didn't know when I started. NUTs except for coconuts don't have the proper nutrients to balance out the…

I was wondering what you all think about dehydrating. I feel like some in the raw community boast about being able to eat anything as long as it's raw (not heated above 105 to 118 degrees. But i feel like I have eaten a percentage of cooked food ever since I started eating a raw foods diet because dehydrated foods make me feel worst than cooked food. Like if I eat raw crackers or dried fruit I get really constipated.
Am I missing something here? I feel like dehydrated food is different than a s…

I just wanted to have an idea of who is going and what to expect. If I can afford to go then I might do so.

It's funny because I have been dreaming of this moment since i was an adolescent. I would fantasize about people admiring me for reaching my full potential in becoming the butterfly I was meant to be. So far I have lost 65 pounds from my peak weight. So many people are astonished when they see me. They simply can not believe it's me. Sometimes I bask in the limelight and sometimes I want to run away. At times when dreams come true you don't feel or react the way you thought.
Raw foods have taug…

It's important to love yourself. What people think about you becomes less important. You become a more peaceful, loving, productive person. You realize that life falls into place and you become impervious to negative comments. What other people think of you isn't as important as how you view yourself. I believe as children we naturally love ourselves. Some of us keep that healthy relationship with ourselves because that behaivior is reinforced by guardians, teachers and other adults who have hea…

I just want to let everyone know the importance of compassion. We all at some point or another needed a friend to talk to. Think about how its affected you as a person when someone did listen. Think about a time when you wanted someone to care and they didn't. Sometimes we make the mistake of giving advice or walking away from someone who needs to be listened to. Listening is a skill and it is the catalyst towards changing the world. When someone needs to speak about what ails them the best thin…
