Exciting exposure for me

I have something exciting to share. Shazzie, my fave raw Goddess in the world has put me on her 40th birthday website. Check out this link: here I'm right next to our beautiful Dhrumil. I painted a commission for Shazzie last year and she was and still is my raw muse. Continue

RAW % going back up!

With renewed desire, strength and vigour I am growing more in tune again with being raw. Thank Goodness. I start the day with divine green smoothies and getting more recipes, like sweet potato, pineapple and ginger. Gorgeous for winter. I have noticed I look far more attractive (dare I say it, at 44.) Especially when I eat raw. My skin tone improves and I look younger immediately I have eaten /drank my green smoothies. I look about ten years younger than my chronological age when I eat raw. Ther… Continue

Boxing Day

As we call it in England, or the day after Christmas day. So relieved really that Christmas is over with. The kids loved it and Remy wanted to take the tree down last night as he had had all his presents. I have been just 50% raw for a few weeks now, where previously I had been 90-100 %, but winter came and my body rebelled. I am going to take the percentage of my raw intake up a notch or two for a while. There are lots of reasons while I feel this is right, but I will listen to my own mind and… Continue

Osho's "Ten Commandments."

This is powerful stuff...yet within me I do feel powerfully that there is a God, within us and everywhere, and we are NOT separate from God. Yet this is perhaps what Osho is saying anyway. 1. Never obey anyone's command unless it is coming from within you also. 2. There is no God other than life itself. 3. Truth is within you, do not search for it elsewhere. 4. Love is prayer. 5. To become a nothingness is the door to truth. Nothingness itself is the means, the goal and attainment. 6.… Continue

Another article from Xerxes I had to keep.

"UNDERSTANDING DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY By Robert Rust In considering depression and anxiety, its important to keep general, lest we end up over-analyzing and complicating what can be a straightforward issue. Depression at its simplest represents a lack of ability to formulate energy. Depression is commonly seen as referring to low mental outlook, and feelings of hopelessness. This indicates a overburdening of our brain cells, or nerves, whereby they've lost their ability to function optimally… Continue

Thank Goodness!

I am at last feeling that the stomach bug is leaving my body. I have lost more weight, it's all good. I am almost at the weight I was before I had Remy. I feel I could eventually go down to the weight I was before I ever took medication which made my weight yoyo so much over the years. I am five ft 10 so I always carried the weight well, but I knew it was not right. I am so excited that I am on this path. It makes sense of me, why I am a bit of a hippy, why I am an artist, why I am a seeker. The… Continue

Back from France

We had a great time. It took us two days to drive down as we didn't want to slog it too long, so we stopped overnight in a motel outside Beaune, which was great. At breakfast there were loads of fruit and juices so I was happy. Everyone else had croissants, yoghurts etc. The sun was shining and as we drove further south the sun was brighter and the light more intense even in late October. The house we rented was idyllic and in a medieval village called Durfort, with crumbled fortifications surro… Continue

South of France here we come.

My family and I are off for a week's holiday in the south of France and taking a couple of days to drive down. I love France. The fruit there is awesome and it's pomegranate season. Pomegranates must be one of the most seductive, Divine fruits. Just the way they show you how to open them by their very design. I enjoy speaking French and I sometimes think I was French in a past life. So no visits to the patisserie for me but lots to the open-air markets. A Bientot! xxxx Continue

HBP Drugs linked to sudden heart attack

About 60% of all the people who have heart attacks have NORMAL blood pressure and the vast majority of these people are taking high blood pressure drugs. In a recent study in Europe, patients with high blood pressure who did NOTHING at all lived longer and had less complications than people who were on HBP medications. It's only a matter of time before you hear the medical institutions admit they were totally mistaken about heart disease and the dangers of high blood pressure medications. The… Continue

Autumn and a new feeling

I am so happy. It is a new kind of happy. I feel spiritually at one with nature. I live in nature and walk every day on the beach or the cliff top by my home. Autumn has been spectacular with scarlet trees and beams of sunlight and swirls of leaves. I've been raw for three months and I actually feel strong enough to reduce my meds and introduce 5htp. Actually I've been doing this for a few weeks. I feel I don't have to keep reading my spiritual books to keep me feeling strong or boosted. The raw… Continue

Menstruation on Raw

The monthly bleeding of menstruation, with its days of inconvenience, discomfort and pain, is the bane of women's existence from menarche to menopause. So universal in our modern culture is this miserable experience that it is assumed to be inevitable. Doctors and the women's media attempt to cast it in a favourable light with trite comments about "welcoming" it as the sign and sacrifice one makes in "becoming a woman". Yet there is probably not a woman anywhere who wouldn't gladly do away with… Continue

Pomona, Roman Goddess of Fruit Orchards. New Painting.

I just finished a new painting, "Pomona, Roman Goddess of Fruit Orchards." It was blissful to paint. It was a commission, so it's no longer in my home, but I will be selling prints of it. I am painting for a show in january so it's great to be painting towards a proper exhibition. Most of my paintings will now have elements of fruit in the subject matter.

If the painting isn't showing up, just click on the continue link.

My Latest Painting

I just finished my painting commission for the lovely Shazzie, my favourite raw food guru here in the UK. I am so thrilled with the painting, even though I do say so myself. I am a big fan of my own work! Lol. Shazzie loves it, I emailed her a photo, and am just waiting for the varnish to dry and will send it to her on thursday. I so enjoyed painting it. It is a painting of Shazzie, her little daughter and her mer-man, all as mermaids in the sea.

New gap in my teeth!

Something amazing has happened. I had a little crowding in my teeth where my bottom front teeth were very slightly overlapping and today I noticed a minor miracle: there is now a slight gap between them and they are perfectly straight!!!! I saw David Wolfe talking about this on You Tube, how the body re-mineralises and your jaw widens or something and in just about seven weeks of my new wonderful raw diet, this is now happening to me! I am so excited. I also see colours 'popping' everywhere, a f… Continue

Raw Beginnings

I have been doing the raw diet for three weeks now and have lost around 10 lbs. I am thrilled and I have not gone hungry. Not once. Being raw makes me feel lighter, happier, more peaceful and full of energy. I tried a few glasses of wine the other night and I felt fine the nex day, no headache whatsoever, but felt more bloated, probably due to my liver not being happy. I think I will not indulge too often. Last night family, friends and I all met for a picnic on the beach and watched a glorious… Continue

I've heard great, great things about Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA. I know that isn't really in the Los Angeles area, but it's still in CA and I believe they provide students the option to stay in their 'Living Light Inn'....

The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.
