All I've had so far today is fruit, green juice, and 1 and a half avocados. AND I did a 30 minute cardio/toning dvd and then a 15 minute toning for abs dvd. I've actually lost about 2 lbs, since starting my regimen. I'm feeling pretty good about that.

I'm blogging every day because blogging about my food and exercise accomplishments helps keep me motivated.
Foodwise, I've consumed at least 30 oz of fresh lemonade so far. I went food shopping at Trader Joe's and I was starting to feel faint because I hadn't had breakfast yet. Happy New Year everyone! I'm feeling good so far this year. I just finished doing Aaron Lankford's Energy Kickboxing Workout, which totally kicked my ass!! I just finished watching the film "Disfigured" and it really made me think about my self-perception and body image and behaviors. Disfigured is a low-budget independent film about the friendship between and lives of a fat woman and a thin (recovering anorexic) woman. I had a green smoothie (only nonraw ingredient was protien powder), some raw chips, carrots and mustard (the mustard probably wasn't raw) a few ginger snaps with whipped cream (definitely not raw), a small raw salad (only nonraw ingredient was edemame beans), an apple, a pear, and I just finished a glass of cashew mylk. Today I had two small raw salads (w/ not raw edemame beans), two green smoothies (only non-raw ingredient being protein powder), two apples, and a glass of cashew mylk. Feeling pretty good, but tired (having been up for 19 hours straight), and full from the cashew mylk.

After an hour or so of fruitlessly attempting to fall back asleep, I got up and did 30 minutes of yoga. I like the yoga portion of the "Budokon weight loss system" workouts. I'm just not patient enough for most yoga dvds. The yoga section is 15-30 minutes long, but I always break a sweat. And I believe that Cameron Shayne (the guy who created the Budokon system) is a raw foodist.

So yesterday was my first fully raw food day. I have to admit, I felt pretty good. I knew I'd have to get up today @ 5:45, so I got ready for bed early. I still felt pretty energetic, so I spent 10 minutes meditating to calm my mind (I haven't meditated in a while, and I want to start doing it more often) which felt sooo good, and then I got into bed at about 9pm. Thought that it might help me stay raw this time. So yeah, I'm now eating a 100% raw salad for dinner (baby bok choy, avacado, carrots, green bell pepper, and raw chips (courtesy of Thrivin' Edibles), drizzled with the yum yum sauce from La Vie (raw restaurant)). Yay. So far I've had a 99% raw day (edemame beans being the only non-raw food I ate)

I've prepared my lunch for tomorrow: a salad consisting of edemame beans (not raw, but green and full of protein), avacado, bell pepper, baby bok choy, and "yum-yum sauce" (from the raw restaurant "La Vie". I got a container of it from their stand at the farmer's market, and it is soooooo good). I marinated some baby carrots and bell peppers in the yum-yum sauce for a snack salad.
