The Difference Between Conservatives and Liberals

This isn't so much a blog post as me just posting a very interesting and thought-provoking article from my Northwestern alumni newsletter that I feel is very relevant considering we are only a few weeks away from the biggest election many of us have ever seen: September 23, 2008 What’s the Difference Between a Conservative and a Liberal? EVANSTON, Ill. --- Political conservatives operate out of a fear of chaos and absence of order while political liberals operate out of a fear of empti… Continue

Elements for Life

I was on a conference call with David Wolfe and Kevin Gianni the other night and there is a brand new 100% raw organic superfoods network marketing company!!! The company is called Elements for Life and I really think this could be an awesome way of spreading the word about raw food across the planet. I just opened my monthly insurance statement and read the most beautiful sentence ever..."You have zero medical claims and zero prescription claims for this quarter." Less than a year ago, if I had received such a statement, I shudder to think how many claims would have been included. Due to ulcerative colitis, fibromyalgia, sinusitis, allergies, etc., I was on about 25 pills a day, plus a wicked liqui… Continue

Great Times at the YJA Convention

This weekend I was fortunate enough to attend the Young Jains of America Convention in Chicago. My man Dhru invited me to speak to some of the attendees about my healing journey with raw foods. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Jains (as I was not before attending the conference), Jainism is a religion of Indian origin that has as one of its main tenets the idea of ahisma, or non-violence towards all living things. Therefore, pretty much everyone there was a vegetarian (in other word… Continue

Discovering the Real Me: From Fibromyalgia to My True Self and Beyond

This is also posted as part of Women's Week on We Like It Raw:

Last summer was the absolute low point in my life. I had just separated from my husband, the only man I have ever loved, after telling him that I could not be a mother because of my fibromyalgia. For those of you who haven’t heard of fibromyalgia, it is a chronic pain disease whi

That is a good point Angus. I have found that a lot of fundamentalist religions accuse everyone else of worshiping the devil and it like a blind hysteria- like all these other people have a black bible in their house and secretely worship a statue...

I'm not going to comment on climate change. But i will comment on carbon trading. Because they can produce such a consciousness of fear out of global warming - they are able to manipulate markets much more severely - and they seem to get away with...
