Broken Blender

So it seems to be the season for Sonia to invest in new kitchen equipment... I am getting a new juicer but now my blender base broke so more shopping. In my quest to find a blender comparable to VitaMix or Blendtec without the exorbitant cost, I came across the PowerMill. Does anyone own one or has anyone heard anything about it? Would greatly appreciate a first-hand opinion... Thanx a bunch!

where does the u.s stand environmentally?!

While I would like to think our efforts make a difference, I suppose we need to write our local congressman and/or Senator to push for more strict environmental standards... We are not in even in the top 10... we are lagging FAR behind.
