Wow, I have been away from my computer for a couple of days - staying at a friends who is "technologically challenged (ie, no internet) due to an ongoing saga with our plumbing - who put banana peels down the sink? j/k.....
Anyway, so I haven't had access....I come back and my youtube site has =KAPOWED=. Nice! Thank you everyone for your kind words! I will be making some new vids as soon as I can get back into my house! Typically I am able to greet everyone that subscribes, but since my internet…

I have had a few requests for the recipe for my fave dish, "The Motha"...
I'll put up a youtube demo for it eventually, but here's a pretty good description of it:
"Tha Motha"...
It's a combination of salt n peppered cabbage underneath a mixture of greens, topped with a dollop of almond butter, a splash of apple cider vinegar and then sundried tomato infused olive oil (sundried tomatoes too). I add crunchy bean sprouts, and broccoli slaw (shredded broccoli stalks and matchstick/julienned carr…

James Allen is THA MAN...
Seriously, I just started reading his books the other day, starting with "As a Man Thinketh", which is the first book, and have progressed to "The Mastery of Destiny", which is the third. There are probably 20 or so more; they are relatively short reads, but I highly suggest them to anyone interested reaching a peak level of productivity, acheivement, success, self-love, self-mastery, whatever you would like to label it. I am so fired up right now. Gotta go, but here a…

So, tonight has been awesome. Had a nice bath and pampering, almost finished reading my book, added some more content to the wiki I have created with my partner in crime, and now I'm melting wax for a paraffin treatment for my hands and feet. Once that is finished, I will head downstairs for some yoga, as it takes about an hour for the wax to cool down enough as to not burn me =D , I am also considering buffing and filing my finger and toenails, finishing my book and have a nice rest. Maybe I'll…

What is it about music that can be so uplifting?
I was feeling a little frustrated this morning learning some new things with my webcam and some wiki software, so I took a second and popped over to John Legends' MySpace page to check out some of his music, as he is one of my FAVE artists of all time....This song, "Save Room"...DAMN! I LOVE IT!!! So, if you view my funny little video of me gettin down, that's what I'm gettin down to.
I also did my morning 5 mile run to his "Get Lifted" cd today…

OMG, talk about killer! This smoothie is soooo delicious, Natalie and I use it at our booths at expos and I use it at all of my raw food gatherings, it's such a hit! People comment about the sense of well-being they get from the smoothie and it's all too true! I recently turned some raw-curious friends onto them out in San Diego and it cured them of their hangovers! Amazing stuff, I tell you.....See for yourself!

Not Tuna Pate
This is a wonderful spread, which when left a little chunky, pairs incredibly well with slices of cucumber, or on top of your favorite raw crackers! Also, use it as the base to top sandwiches and put some grated carrot and sliced avocado on top, or blended with olive oil and a few spices makes it a great salad dressing!
Ingredients:
1 C almonds
1 C sunflower seeds
½ C purified water, if necessary
½ C minced celery
½ C minced red onion
½ C minced fresh parsley
3/8 C fresh squeeze…

Sooooooooo, I'm about 3 weeks behind on posting pictures and recipes, sorry! I am soooo excited, though! What have I been up to, you ask? Well, I JUST finished moving into the house of my dreams! It is so amazing, and it's a historical building (used to be a Montesori school). The house is right in the heart of our Delano district (which is the coolest part of our downtown area). My dream is to turn the first floor into a raw takeout/deli style operation, it's going to be amazing! Naturally, I h…

Sometimes those days off just go by too fast!
Yesterday, I went to a friend's and made coconut date banana smoothies with chia seeds! Sooooooo sweet! Then, I tried CamuCamu - did I spell that right? - for the first time. I tried both a pouch that you emptied out and dumped into a bottle of water or juice or something, and then shake (and they are VERY specific about the shaking part). I also tried some amazing face products made out of it. I'll have to get the name again and post a link, they a…

Todays prep was a lot of fun. For lunch I prepared seaweed snackers, which is a seed cheese - i used a spicy garlic style - sandwiched between two sheets of quartered nori. The nori are then cut into quarters again and dehydrated overnight until they are crisp. See the pics.
Alongside the seaweed snackers sat a Thai Coleslaw. This is an excellent dish, bursting with flavor. There are so many variations I can see with this dish. The next time I make it, I will add pineapple, that would be delicio…

I have decided to start posting the menu and pics from the meals I prepare for people daily. Why not, right? I make some awesome stuff! Today was no different.
Our fare for lunch was Nori Rolls stuffed with 'Not-Your-Average' Tuna Salad, shredded papaya, carrots, and napa cabbage, sliced radishes and sealed with Nama Shoyu. The side dish to accompany was a Summer Corn Salad.
For dinner, I prepared a Red Pepper stuffed with a Spicy Garlic and Herb Cheese which was accented with minced red onion…

There is nothing like Kansas in the springtime. Birds outside my window, everyone outside riding bicycles, taking their children to the park! I have all of my windows open, just went for a bike ride, and now I'm about to make a delicious salad.
Just wanted to put it in writing how grateful I am for this moment, on this day, to have such an enormous amount of privilege in this world and how lucky I am to be a part of it.
Thank you!
