Living Raw Magazine #2 - Out Now!

After an absolutely INCREDIBLE few months, Living Raw Magazine issue 2 is finally out! This has been a labour of love for me and my absolute passion, and today picking up the magazines from printer I finally see the work of myself and the wonderful writers come together :-) For anyone who doesn't know, Living Raw is a magazine dedicated to Australian raw food lifestyle and culture. It started out as a mini magazine about shopping for raw, organic food and services in Perth but this issue expand… Continue

Living Raw - Australia's first magazine dedicated to raw and living foods!

Living Raw - raw vegan lifestyle & culture Australia's first magazine dedicated to raw and living foods! Living Raw grew out of my desire to share the information I had gathered on buying raw, vegan and organic produce in Perth and thoughout Australia. Raw foodists often use ’specialist’ ingredients such as Agave Nectar, raw carob and cacao, raw nuts and superfoods. When I first started exploring and living a raw foods lifestyle, such foods could only be purchased online or th… Continue

Yes I can!

I have come to realise something I have always know, but it’s one of those things you ignore - I have emotions, which can and do manifest physically beyond just emotional eating. On the 2nd day of our juice fast, I found myself strangely emotional -just introverted and quietly confronting some of my thoughts and ingrained “beliefs” about myself. Leisa’s lecture on the Emotional Aspects of Healing came at the perfect time, and opened up a whole new perspective for me. I am still digesting the inf… Continue

An amazing day!

I have had an awesome day! I live in what a lot of people consider to be a very boring city but I found out today just how cool it is. I'm so greatful that I live here in Perth, have fantastic friends, and great weather! :) Nothing too special, just shopping at a cool raw food store and checking out vintage/second-hand stores for clothes, then to a character art exhibition tonight! I'm just happy and had to let the world know! :) Continue

Recovery.... Rawcovery

Wow, I can't believe how long its been since I've visited GI2MR! I've had a hell couple of months and really fallen from my high raw lifestyle, which turned into a vicious cycle of depression and beating myself up. I can't tell you when it started, I was eating really well in Jan - Feb (mainly living on Mangoes) and then my hubby and I went back to uni part time and we were sucked into the bad habits we had before going raw - staying at uni late and being too stuffed to come home and uncook so b… Continue

Successful Day

It's been a while since I blogged on my site, or came here to look around and participate. It feels so good though when I do get the chance! I really believe that keeping in contact with other raw foodies, and reading books, gets you in the right mindset to keep going.

I've had a bad month or so, eating just a standard vegan diet (probably 50% raw) and I can't believe the differences between now and when I was 100% raw up until a couple of months ago. I'm sleeping heavier, have this con… Continue

That is a good point Angus. I have found that a lot of fundamentalist religions accuse everyone else of worshiping the devil and it like a blind hysteria- like all these other people have a black bible in their house and secretely worship a statue...
