Um, so this salad is about as perfect as it gets. . .

half an avocado, a handful of crunchy dulse, fresh dill, a dab of miso and two squeezes of lime juice. . . handfuls of mixed greens, kelp and reishi powder, two minced dates and a few raisins. . .OH and the best part- NETTLES. . .reminding me of spring. . .

all makes for a very happy girl. . .

Grounding Green Shake

or grounding green grub. . . for complete alliteration.

one frozen banana

splash vanilla

1/4 cup macadamia nut milk, and fill the rest of one cup with water

two pitted dates

splash of dark chocolate liquid stevia

pinch of cacao nibs

1 teaspoon each cacao and carob powder

1 teaspoon maca

2 generous handfuls of collards and spinach

Elixir for the Snow

Every few days I've been simmering an herbal blend, as inspired by Daniel Vitalis (and I feel his incredible energy flowing through me everytime I'm mixing it up, and then subsequently drink it!). . . and now, as I'm crashing with my parents for a bit until I head off on my next travel adventure, I've got my entire family hooked as well. . . we're positively glowing and dancing around with the unique blends!

Sea Speed

I call it this, or Mermaid Blend, because it's made of raw cacao + spirulina (which are both nutrient-rich + energy enhancing)and when I add some beautiful crystals of sea salt and lushly colored Irish Moss, it becomes an exlixir fit for a mermaid!

Simple

We're in the middle of a deep freeze. . . and while I'm practically on top of the woodstove, wearing my hip + cozy knit headband (from locally spun wool), all I can think about is planting fruit trees, and riding around on my bicycle wearing summer dresses, with the basket full of basil and wildflowers. Ironic, isn't it?
